This intense course is designed to prepare CCIE candidates for the one-day Security "hands-on" lab exam. Over five days candidates will solidify their existing knowledge, expose their weaknesses and gain vital test taking strategies. This class is designed for candidates who are within 6 months of their lab date. The class does not cover introductory material and candidates are expected to have at a minimum a CCSP level knowledge of the topics covered in order to receive the full benefit of the class. Each candidate will work through challenging scenarios on their own vRack of equipment. Each student will be given dedicated access to their individual vRack throughout the course. (We strongly recommend that you have purchased and completed a majority of the labs in our CCIE Security Lab Preparation Workbook prior to attending this course.)
This class consists of several hours of lecture per day and up to 10 hours or more of hands-on preparation per day. Be prepared to stay late every evening. During the class the instructor will identify some of the most common mistakes that candidates make and at the end of the week, will provide each individual an assessment of their readiness.
Monday through Wednesday is spent with a mixture of lecture and working through mock labs, exploring different scenarios. This is done with a modular approach including the following:
Each student will have access to their own CCIE Security Pod that consists of 8 ISR 2811 Routers, 1 PIX 515, 2 ASA 5510's, 1 VPN 3005 Concentrator, 1 IPS 4215 (NOT FrankenIDS), 1 Win2k3 ACS/SCEP/CA Server, 1 XP Workstation, and Frame-Relay. The course is paced, allowing you to learn details of topics as well as focus on your specific areas of weakness, strengthen more familiar topics, and improve your speed.
Our CCIE Security Lab Boot Camp instructors are among the elite - both hold Multiple CCIE's and have passed the 2.0 Blueprint of the grueling CCIE Security Lab exam. Possessing several other certifications and each with well over 10 years of enterprise networking, teaching and writing / development experience - you are sure to receive the needed lecture and guidance that is required to assist you in preparing for this grueling lab.
