I want to thank IPExpert for all the invaluable help, after going through the instructor led bootcamp by Vik Malhi, I was able to have a glimpse of what CCIE was all about, and also leverage the knowledge I was still missing, and then was able to focus on the spots I was weak, proctor labs vracks are most helpful as well, when you are studying at home with no lab equipment. I achieved my CCIE Voice on my second attempt.

Passed my lab in Bangalore at second attempt. I would say the IPExpert did help me out this achievement. My study plan was also driven from IPExpert Vol 1 workbook. Read the technology thoroughly from books and do the focused lab. I followed the workbook sequence which really made me easy to cover all the technologies in the best way. By the way, I was also lucky enough to be given 25 session for rack time for free during the Christmas give away. Thanks Wayne for that and i hope you could do it every now and then.. :) I extensively used IPExpert workbooks as it cover more topics than others like L2VPNs and i feel that IPExpert labs are much harder then the actual exam which is really good for preparation.. I'd also like to give my thanks to Mike for offering me a deal that i can't resist and took away a thousand dollars from me.. hehe.. Man..I really wouldn't have done it without all these things.

Cheers..

Wow, what can I say ... IP Expert's BLS really helped me refine my studies. The combination of Scott Morris's lecture and the detailed workbooks complete with play-by-play explanations provides a CCIE R&S candidate with all the necessary information to pass the CCIE R&S Lab Exam. Another benefit was that I would use the BLS product even when I did not have access to the Internet which is great for travel and/or vacation. I found myself more than a couple times at the beach in a rental property that did not have connectivity. However, this did not stop my study efforts because I just plugged in the USB Hard Drive and picked up where I had left off.

I recommend the BLS Hard Drive product for anyone who is trying to achieve their CCIE R&S certification with little time on their hands. I have five kids all under the age of eight and let me tell you ... During my CCIE prep, there was not much time to perform full labs on a regular basis, so I needed to tailor my study time in such a way so that I could accomplish smaller pieces of the pie and still be able to utilize that knowledge base when it came time to perform full labs.

Thank you,

I purchased the end-to-end solution for the CCIE R&S track. I found the material to be challenging and relevant. The practice labs were a good approximation of the real CCIE exam. Some were even more challenging than the real thing. Thanks Ipexpert.

I just passes my CCIE Voice!!!! This was one of the most challenging undertaking in my professional life. Lots of time and hard work, but it has all been worth it. I began the process about 2 years ago by attending a CCVP boot camp provided by IPExpert. Once I passed that I began working on my CCIE voice written exam and achieved that in 2 months. I scheduled a CCIE voice boot camp with IPExpert and did my first attempt that same week. I quickly learned that this was not going to be as easy as a boot camp. I have since worked to gain the most comprehensive knowledge of the subject matter as possible. In addition I have found that the Blended Learning Solution and an addition 1 week Lab Experience from IPExpert helped me to polish my speed and helped me learn to think outside the box when coming up with solutions to various problems. In the end it took 4 attempts and about 2 years hard work. A special thanks to Vik who was a big help in the boot camps I did with IPExpert.

IPexpert's material definately played the most important part during my study. It's not just a simple book sets & it actually taught me how to plan and prepare to reach final destination. :-) I would recommend IPexpert to all my mates and staff. Once again, thanks to all of the IPexpert team.

I began my goal of becoming a CCIE in February of 2006. I had been a systems engineer in the United States Army since 1999 when I first obtained my CCNA. It was time to go for it all. I had just finished a deployment to Iraq with the next scheduled in eight months. Through research and colleague referrals I decided that IPExpert was the way to go. I purchased the workbooks and scheduled the Routing and Switching Bootcamp. The time spent on each lab was well worth it, and the Bootcamp helped with the subtle details that are often overlooked.
Although I did not pass on my first effort, the IPExpert workbooks went with me on my deployment to Iraq. I spent countless hours working and re-working through every lab over and over for the entire duration. Upon my return I scheduled and passed the Lab exam April 3rd, 2008.

Thanks IPexpert,

Chris Rimmer

I moved on to the lab just like I would any other mock lab I've been doing for 10 months....followed the method Jared Scrivener gave us at IPexpert boot camp, which was AWESOME. For my self-study preparation - I used STRICTLY the workbooks and Blended Learning Solution from IPEXPERT.

Huge thanks to Jared Scrivener, Tyson Scott, Mike Down, Sean Orr, Wayne Lawson and the ENTIRE IPexpert team, who have been with me from start to finish. These guys have been just awesome...from Mike and Sean in sales, to Tyson and Jared with the technical material. It's been a fun and good experience! I got what I expected -- world class training, support, and customer service, and THAT is hard to find these days! A special thanks personally to Jared for his excellent teaching methods, and willingness to go the extra mile time and time again, and for giving his students personal 1-1 support!

The CCIE is doable, but like many before me have said, you have to seriously want it, and put in the time, effort, and sacrifice to achieve it.

I first heard of IPExpert way back in 2005 from a thread in the routerie.com forum. At the time I'd been 'coming around to it' for about 5 years when I met my first CCIE. I placed my first order with IPEXpert in 2006 I think and the products arrived in the UK bound and packed via UPS within a week. I opened them carefully...and summarily panicked and left them alone...on the side so they couldn't hurt anyone. One thing I did do however was pick up the audio CD's and take them to my car. My commute to work at the time was about 2 hours each way back so that was invaluable study time. At home my kids were taking up loads of my time and despite my best efforts I just couldn't keep my eyes open at night long enough to stare past the first page. Anyway after a few years break and after seeing a couple of my colleagues pass and move on I took the bull by horns so to speak and purchased the Routing and Switching BLS from IPExpert in 2008. I also purchased 25 rack sessions from proctorlabs.

The BLS was fantastic. Unlike the huge bound documentation we now get a lovely 100GB hard drive (I think mine was 120GB actually). All the documentation is on PDF and you get a fantastic menu system and can click about easily. It even worked on my Mac which was excellent. The tutorial videos are fantastic and Scott does add a certain humour to liven it up a little. The proctorlabs window worked out OK too for a UK student since I got home about 7pm and spent a few hours with the kids/wife and then down to work at 11pm.

I have to say IPExpert were not my only source for my studies. Indeed IPExpert themselves in their own material actively encourage students to experience as much material from as many vendors as possible (or you can afford). What I will say is that IPExpert show you how to do study properly and encourage you to work effectively and methodically to reach your goal. Throughout my training path (which has been long) I've had numerous unsolicitated emails and even a couple of phone calls from the guys at IPExpert with encouraging tones and helpful messages to keep me going. I should say that this is not the norm. and cannot be said of other vendors I have used.

My flight back from Brussels was uneventful, the drive back from the airport too was also fairly innocuous, sitting at my desk until 3am was painful but refreshing the web page and seeing a PASS where I had previously seen two FAIL was fantastic. I have already purchased the Security BLS and am looking forward to sitting the lab in May next year.

Thank you IPExpert.

I started my CCIE journey back in 2006. I started off by setting up my home lab but eventually I understood that it would not be possible for me to have a full CCIE Voice rack at home. Then, I considered another option and decided to have a look on the Proctor Labs vRacks. I was really amazed by the solution they provide: easy to use, nice guys for helping us if needed, "just click and play"! No need to bother with hardware or software issues: I just stayed focus on my preparation for the lab. I was able to test a lot of tricky scenarios thanks to them. It was really easy to erase everything and to start from scratch again !

Even if I never met them (I never had the opportunity), I learned a lot from Vik Malhi and Mark Snow (IP Expert CCIE Voice Instructors) because I spent a lof of time reading articles and messages they wrote in the CCIE Voice forum (see http://www.onlinestudylist.com).

I passed the lab on my second attempt (the 17th April 2008). I failed my first attempt due to a wrong strategy : I knew my stuff but I didn't have the opportunity to discuss about the best strategy to win. I would be happy to pass on the first try and I'm sorry that I didn't follow the IPexpert Boot Camp...If only I knew...

Nevertheless, I eventually got my number: I'm CCIE Voice 20573... thanks to IPexpert !

Hi Team,

CCIE Routing & switching started of with IP Expert vol1 & vol2 version 9, I attended CCIE R&S Lab 1-Week Lab Experience Boot Camp San Jose and hit the exam but unfortunately I failed, I come out with attack plan meantime IP Expert vol1 and vol2 version 10 was out this book is excellent. I would like to Thanks IP Expert team for also replacement for bootcamp since I was not able to travel to US or other part for costing reason they gave me 25 session of rack time as per promise free of cost. Finally I passed R&S in Dubai.

IP Expert you rock

In my final days of preparation, I was checking regularly updates on group study and with the new format of open ended questions, I was really a little worried .

I saw this great offer from IPexpert - for the core knowledge questions and I downloaded them instantly - which gave me quite some idea as to what should we expect in the lab.

This core knowledge questions were really great and helpful from IPexpert.

I got my CCIE # 24104.

I passed the CCIE R&S on my second attempt April 24th. For 9 months, I used IPexpert’s version 10.0 lab workbooks and proctor guides, on-line rack rentals, video on demand material, and audio CDs in my preparation. Although the 15 mock labs are great benchmarks for the all important time management aspect of the lab, I believe the 22 technology-specific labs were the most helpful in truly understanding each technology.

The material from IPexpert was an invaluable component in my preparation. I would recommend IPexpert material to any CCIE candidate.

I started studying for my CCIE Lab many many months ago. I went through all of the IPexpert labs numerous times. The material is thorough and accurate. The 10 practice labs also prepare you well for the actual lab test. I would definitely recommend this product to someone else. The videos are also put together very well. I was able to watch the videos over and over on parts that confused me. Great Work IPexpert.

The worst part about learning anything is not having a framework for success. IPexpert creates this framework, and provides the map and compass with which to navigate your way through the fog and turblent waters.

The Blended Learning Solution was an integral part of my preparation for the CCIE lab. The hundreds of hours of lab time that the workbooks provided allowed me to deeply develop the confidence and skill needed to pass the real lab. With an aggressive labbing schedule I was able to pass the lab within 4 months. I would certainly recommend IPexpert for anyone serious about attaining their CCIE certification.

CCIE #23977 (R&S)

I used the IPexpert R&S Workbooks Volume 2 and 3, the Blended Learning Solution and vRack sessions from ProctorLabs, for my CCIE preparation. I was studying for about 9 months before my 1st attempt and I passed!!!

The material provided a COMPLETE end to end learning experience, everything from the video classes and breakdowns to the Proctor Guide for each workbook explaining and SHOWING you the solution. The online community, specifically the OSL mailing list, was a big help as well. Looking back I don't think I could have asked for a more through or complete learning experience.

I highly recommend the material for preparation in obtaining the CCIE.

I’d like to let you know that I passed my Security lab on the first attempt in Sydney on Wednesday (my second CCIE). Your training materials were great and I especially liked the detailed explanations in the proctor guides. I’d also like to mention the top quality service I received from your sales and support staff (Ryan and Drew). These guys responded quickly and resolved a couple of issues I had with some rack rentals and config access. Thanks a heap.

I’m going to make a start on the Voice track soon and you guys will be my first port of call for training material.

Cheers

I used the IPexpert study material, specifically the R&S workbooks, for my CCIE preparation. Studying for about 8 months before my 1st attempt and passing 7 months later on my 3rd attempt.

The material provides the building blocks to cement your knowledge of the topics covered in the LAB. Knowing the answer to a question gives you the ability to instantly configure the solution, providing valuable time on the day to test and re-test the solutions you provide.

I would thoroughly recommend the material for preparation of the CCIE journey.

I do not know how many more $1,400 lunches I could have afforded. Thanks to IPexpert I do not have to find out. I started with Internetwork Expert workbooks and it did not take long for me to master them and become bored. I needed more of a challenge along with material that simulated the real exam, I also needed to improve my time management and shortcuts.

IPexpert has the perfect team of instructors for the CCIE Voice Lab, Mark Snow is great with the level of detail needed and Vik Malhi is great with time management. IPexpert gives you the feeling that they are there to help you and not just sell you a product, they gave me so much more confidence.

I have already invested in the CCIE Routing & Switching and Security tracks. I look forward to attending a boot camp for the August holidays. THANKS IPEXPERT!

I have passed the CCIE R&S Lab on the 9th of December 2008 and would like to thank the folks at IPexpert. I think the IPexpert Blended Solutions by far is the best product out there because I have looked at the other ones. I really appreciate Neil Apolzan recommending the blended solutions along with the Boot Camp because both were key to my success in the lab.

Thank you to Amy, Neil, and Tyson Scott for their excellent work.

The experience of working with IPexpert & Proctor Labs was just invaluable. First of all, the excellent quality of the material delivered, the workbooks have very well designed exercises and multiple scenarios. The Boot Camps I attended in San Jose with Vik Malhi, were very good , he is a knowledgeable instructor and excellent professional. Participating in the Boot Camp definitely gave me a real vision of the test. During the course, I interacted with other CCIE candidates and the opinions, doubts and possible problems that came up were really interesting. I also bought some Proctor Labs online rack time, which was just what I needed the get all the excellent results at a really low price.

Last but not least is the Online Study List community, which could be seen as a continuation of the Boot Camp. The IPexpert instructors give their expert opinions, knowledgeable answers and useful tips on OSL to guide us to find the right solutions.

I exclusively used IPexpert study material starting from Workbooks, Proctor Labs rack rental to the Video-on-Demand. I attended the Voice Boot Camp in San Jose with Vik. I have never personally met with Mark but heard his voice almost every morning while driving.

I started my CCIE journey about 8 months ago but have been working with this technology for over some time. I took my first step by calling Neil Apolzan who directed me towards a right path by pointing out the Blended Learning Solution. The BLS material was like an appetizer for me to light the fire, and Procter Labs kept it burning. I took my first attempt on 08 OCT 2008, and went to the Boot Camp week following to that. I know for sure that Boot Camp was the bridge for me that connected all the dots leading me to pass my second attempt on 24 Nov 2008.

Thank you Neil, Vik and Mark.

I decided to buy the IPexpert workbook in summer 2007. I found IPexpert on internet and a read on some forums and decided to try it out. After I failed the first lab attempt in mars 2008 I decided to try out the 2 weeks classroom and lab training in Columbus. This really helped me out. I got answers on some questions I really needed to find out. The best thing was to try out new good labs and get almost 2 weeks to try them. This was important for me. I felt a lot more confident on my way back home. I only wanted to do the lab exam right away.
My second attempt felt good but I failed. After when I have looked at the score report it was really close. I think the problem was that I did the lab to close after I come back to Europe. I felt tired and I think I needed to have some more days to rest before I tried.
But my third attempt was a success.
I think the labs in the workbook are close to the real lab. The labs pushes you think in the right way. They follow the blueprint and have good explanations on the solutions.

The best thing about IPexpert was the support for people like me outside US located in Europe. I got everything I needed without problem. And the trip over to Columbus to take the class wasn’t a problem. The virtual labs worked perfect at Proctorlabs. I always booked lab time at 00:00 am in weekends and that fit me perfect because of the time difference from Europe. So the lab started around 07:00 am in Europe.

Thanks again.

I found IPexperts material and instructors key to teaching the relevant technologies that allowed me to learn the material and become CCIE certified in voice. I found the the video and audio information laid the foundation for me. The actual boot camps and classes rounded things off and then you have to practice for 200-500 hours to be proficient enough to complete the lab. I would recommend IPexpert's products to anyone looking to become certified in Voice.

CCIE #22670 (Voice)

I found the market at the moment is flooded with CCIE RS materials, but only a few have what it takes to really get into the technologies and teach you what is needed not only to pass the lab, but to use the knowledge thereafter. I found your materials had that perfect balance of doing just that. The Audio Bootcamp was simply a fantastic tool, when it seemed it would never be so. I for one never believed that one could learn without written words or pictures, I had given up on even attempting to listen to the Audio bootcamp, I gave it a go, and how wrong I was. They provided me with perfect bite-size facts on things that would otherwise be hard to manage. I think from a lab point of view my memory retention was far better due to this. As for the workbook with proctor notes, this was just simply amazing, the amount of detail fed to me was just right. I find some vendors just copy and past direct from the DOC_CD just to pad the workbook - I do not want or need this, I can get that when I want from the Cisco site. IPExpert simply broke that down again to a perfect level where one could make use of the information, without an unwanted overdose. I have decided to pursue CCIE Security in the new year, and as far as I am concerned there is only one vendor that will get my business and that is the leader and the original CCIE training company - IPExpert.com. Only IPExpert with it's OSL provides support like no other, no one wants to wait days for an answers, with OSL I get responses within a few hours - no other vendor can boast this level of service.

Thanks for making it happen for me!!!

Just want to let you know getting this CCIE felt like it was the longest
journey in my life. Even though I had my Bachelor Degree and Master Degree
in Computer Science, getting CCIE was the most difficult. Because you
simply don't get any partial credit.

I barely finished my exam today. It was until the last 10 minutes which I
was only able to review one question. This test was hard.

It took me four times to do it, since I passed my written in February. I
have used Jared's method by writing all the sections before you type it
away. And if you all recall, Jerey emphasized on reading the books.

Studying hard does show result. I am glad I took Jared's class.

The first thing that I liked about the IPexpert material is that the answers were reliable. The solutions that were given were very accurate and answered the questions 100%.

The material supplied by IPexpert is quite comprehensive and covers all the basics for the CCIE test but still when you prepare you get more material from different sources (forums, other vendors etc.) and then you can get wrong answers or answers that don't fully solve the question. I found myself comparing every solution to the solutions that was given by IPexpert just to make sure there are no faults. Even now when I am a CCIE I use the solutions of IPexpert as a reference. Though of course by now I know most of them by heart. ;)

Hands-down IPexpert is the best CCIE lab exam preparation source available. I used a combination of the Workbook and Proctor Guide as well as attending the CCIE Security 5 Day Boot Camp. My journey started in 2006 when I was called upon to give an overview presentation on MPLS VPNs. I really didn’t know much about MPLS at the time but dug in and got pretty interested in the technology. July 2007 I attended Cisco Networkers and went to a CCIE SP breakout session and was hooked. I spent the next couple of months on CCIP and finished that in September 2007. In October 2007 I had purchased the IPexpert CCIE SP Lab Workbook. I read several Cisco Press titles and documentation on Cisco.com to understand the theory. The IPexpert Lab Workbook was an excellent resource that gave me some hands on challenges to really see the various ways the technology can be tweaked to produce various results. The Lab Workbook challenged me in ways that documentation did not. Hands down it was a crucial component to my success in the lab.

I would like to thank all the guys at IPexpert for putting together a great set of workbooks and video training materials. I used the new Blended Learning Solution (Workbook Volumes 1, 2 and 3.) The Volume 1 labs are great to get a foundation in the individual technologies which lead nicely into the full scale Volume 2 labs. I cannot recommend the Volume 3 labs highly enough when used on IPexpert's vRacks. The ability to have the labs graded with a score and feedback available almost immediately is truly outstanding. This along with the video breakdown for each Volume 3 lab proved to be the turning point for me in the pursuit of my CCIE and pass at the first attempt.

Thanks!

Jo Knight
CCIE #22262 (R&S)

I took my IPexpert graded lab in the beginning of my preparation. I have to admit I wasn't expecting too much - "after all, it's graded by a script". Well, I couldn't have been more wrong!!! The script is very well written - it checks for actual results (routes in the routing table, ping results, and so on), and not for configuration lines. And the fact that you can actually see the script output means that you know exactly what went wrong with your config. Furthermore, when I had some questions about the grading, I received a very detailed and very fast (same day) reply about what I did wrong.

The lab definitely helped me a lot with my preparation - I learned how to properly manage my time during the exam, and how to troubleshoot issues without spending too much time on one task. I can only regret that I was unable to use more of IPexpert's training materials (for various reasons, mainly financial ones).

I would like to thank IPexpert for providing the excellent Lab Scenarios, and Routing & Switching Boot Camp. The IPexpert Proctor (Jared Scrivener) is very knowledgeable and taught the skills needed to complete my CCIE Routing & Switching certification. The lab scenarios send you down paths that you normally wouldn't even think of, forcing you to really learn and understand the underlying technologies and help you pass.

Todd Plambeck
CCIE #22126 (R&S)

I would like to thank Marvin and IPexpert for providing excellent lab scenarios for my preparation for the CCIE SP lab exam. The scenarios send you down paths that you normally wouldn't even think of, forcing you to really learn and understand the underlying technologies and help you pass. I bought the CCIE SP Lab Preparation Workbook with Proctor Guide in addition to attending the 5 Day Instructor Led Boot Camp. Both played an important role in my success.

I exclusively used IPexpert study materials and Proctor Labs rack rental to prepare for taking the CCIE Voice lab exam. I attended boot camp twice, once with Mark as instructor and once with Vik as instructor. I also listened to every voice-related vLecture archived on the web site, and followed the ccie_voice forum on OnlineStudyList.

After eight months of intensive study, I was successful on September 12th in adding the CCIE Voice certification to my ten-year-old Routing and Switching certification. I highly recommend the ten practice labs in Volume 3 of the Blended Learning Solution – the last three months of my preparation were spent doing those labs over and over until I was completely familiar with every scenario presented in them.

Thanks to the entire IPexpert staff for their support throughout my study process – everyone from president Wayne Lawson to the Proctor Labs support team of Glenn Champine and Drew Lepla were invariably responsive and helpful every time that I had any request. I am convinced that IPexpert has the best study material and the best staff in the industry.

CCIE #3333 (R&S, Voice)

To begin my preparation, I purchased the IPexpert Voice Workbook and a bundle of 25 Voice online sessions. I also joined their online forum (Online Study List) for sharing knowledge and support with other members. For comparison purposes, I also purchased a couple of online sessions from other online rentals, and trust me when I say it’s a HUGE difference. Compared to IPexpert, other online rentals were more expensive, and their technical support was either non-live, non-existence or much slower to respond.

Their live technical support was speedy, friendly, courteous, and professional. Similarly, their online forum provided a great source of information and support. It had a big community of users for sharing knowledge and two very competent and knowledgeable CCIE instructors and moderators for answering any question. Last but not least, IPexpert offered very affordable rates. I spent well over 50 online sessions and attended a voice Boot Camp at IPexpert’s training facility in San Jose. IPexpert’s workbook and boot camp provided me with a wealth of specific knowledge contents to pass my CCIE lab exam.

So, I say to all who are attempting a CCIE Voice lab exam... I highly recommend attending IPexpert’s Voice boot camp or at the very least get IPexpert’s Voice workbooks. It is a wise investment if you are serious about pursuing a Cisco Voice CCIE certification. I have learned much, gained tremendous hands-on experiences with voice telephony and passed my CCIE lab exam as the result.

I started with the v9 R&S workbook in Dec 2007 and in Apr 08, I attended the R&S bootcamp in San Jose. The bootcamp is really beneficial as it exposes the topics I am weak in and so open up my mind to the multiple ways of doing certain things. Right before I went for my third attempt, I was able to get my hands on the R&S BLS. I must say that is the best of all the IPexpert products I’ve used (v8, v9).

Thank you IPexpert!

Many thanks to IPexpert for great labs they offered during my study period. I started on January 2008 to go for the lab exam in Brussels and finished my last exam on the 3th of July 2008. I used the IPexpert workbook at home to do some training the minilabs. On April I did the two weeks boot camp in Columbus USA. This was a very good and high level practice training with very good instructors. They bring you to a technical higher level than the real exam. We also get good practice tips around the exam and a good feeling how to pass the exam. It was also nice to speak other CCIE Security candidates about their experiences.

After this boot camp I used the remote labs of IPexpert. Good hardware and nice and complete labs. I passed the exam after 3 times exam on the 3th of July.

I am happy I did the IPexpert training.

I just got my CCIE security joining the 600+ of CCIEs holding R&S and Security. I attended the 5 day Instructor Lead bootcamp back in July and I was not disappointed. I knew I was close in the previous attempts but missing some key elements. The instructor Mark Snow was very patient and dedicated when answering my questions. I had been to another boot camp claimed to be the best in the world but they were much commercialized that you need to shutdown your work before 8 hour day is up. Not here, the IPexpert instructors sacrifice their own time to stay late to answer or solve your lab problems. In addition to that, you have the option to continue your lab in progress even from your hotel room over the Internet. I highly recommend IPexert to those CCIE to be.

After having not touched a Call Manager or a Unity box for two years, I decided it was time to brush up on my skills and get the CCIE Voice Certification.

I took the IPexpert two-week CCIE Voice Boot Camp in July with Vik Malhi. The class was outstanding. I took the Voice Lab the last day of the Boot Camp, but didn’t quite make the grade. After that, I went home and spent the next two weeks building out a practice rack in the garage.

Using only the IPexpert Audio and Video instructional materials and the IPexpert practice labs, I spent the next four weeks hammering away on the practice rack. On August 28th, I nailed the CCIE Voice Lab.

It was Vik’s instructions and labs that set me on the path to certification, and IPexpert’s excellent materials made it happen. I highly recommend IPexpert to anyone looking to get CCIE-certified.

I bought the IPExpert material after I failed my first CCIE Lab attempt and it was the best thing I could have done. The labs are at a very high level and helped me to better understand all of the technologies. The video is a great resource to review the main topics the week before the Lab.

I've passed the CCIE Lab exam on my second attempt.

CCIE #21699 (R&S)

The IPexpert practice labs were an invaluable resource when studying for my CCIE Security. I didn’t use any other vendor’s workbooks and can honestly say that IPexpert does more than enough to prepare you for the real thing. Mark Snow did an excellent job on the DVD/CDs relating the material with practical examples as well as identifying pitfalls that could creep up on you in the real exam. I only wish now that I would have attended one of his Boot Camps!

HUGE thanks to Jared Scrivener who was also a breath of fresh air with just the inspiration I needed after failing the exam to get back up, dust myself off, and try again. Thanks to all the IPexpert staff for making my dream a reality! Your customer service goes above and beyond to ensure success!

I took a long way to became CCIE Security. At final phase (preparing to Lab) I used IPexpert package (Lab Preparation Workbook with Proctor Guide, Audio and Video lectures) as well as some other vendor workbook with my own home lab. I found IPexpert material very useful since it covered basically all the technologies tested in the real Lab and it provided enough practical excersise. Video material for VPN concentrator and ACS was especially valuable. All the material was not only useful to prepare for the Lab but as a quick refreshment before next attempt (as we all know it happens quite often :) )

Thanks to all the people in IPexpert who invested their time and efforts in the development of these nice learning materials.

Many thanks to ipexpert and especially Vik for the two week voice bootcamp that was absolutely perfect. Also the help and discussions afterwards helped a lot of course.

Last but not least the Vracks are a great help to practice. I would also like to thank the people who would help during off-hours with Vrack problems.

The audio bootcamp from Mark Snow covered a lot of those little details that will get you off track on the lab and was a great resource. The lab workbook had plenty of lab scenarios covering everything from IP fax integration with Unity, to complex gatekeeper and CUBE configurations. I used it in conjunction with Proctor Labs rack time to prepare for the test. Some of the practice labs are actually harder than the real lab. If you can finish the one of the full IP Expert labs in 8 hours, you should be ready for the real deal.

I would like to thank the IPExpert team for their technically relevant and valuable CCIE Voice products. IPexpert played an integral role in my success. CCIE is 80% personal study and theory. IPexpert's Boot Camp was the last 20% that I needed to pass my lab. The amazing instructors provided me with the personal and technical support that helped me attain my goals.

HUGE thanks to IPEXPERT for helping me passing my Voice CCIE. I took Vik's ILT boot camp in early June, and used his labs to study with on the vRacks from ProctorLabs. My first attempt was in early July, no dice, but I turned around and used the vRacks again continually until my second attempt in August, and that's when I nailed it! Aside from Cisco documentation, IPEXPERT material was the only material I used to study with. From the ILT boot camp, to the vRacks, to the IPEXPERT sponsored OSL mailing list, the offering from IPEXPERT is top notch!

I wanted to thank the IPexpert team. I used IPexpert's mock lab for final preparation. I used this three days before my lab to work out any kinks with my time management. This lab kicked my butt, but I learned from my mistakes both time wise and technology. The lab breakdowns were extremely comprehensive and informative. Especially thanks to Tyson Scott for manual grading my mock lab (even on a Friday night) and then posting my results when we ran into some technical difficulties. Also thanks to Glen for working with me with the vRack session. Outstanding customer service and product!

Thanks to Vik at IPexpert for the very helpful CCIE Voice boot camp, Glenn who kept everything running on the vRacks during my studies, and everyone on the informative mailing lists that IPexpert hosts.

Because of Vik's knowledge of the subject matter and IPexpert's excellent study materials, I was able to knock out the voice lab on my second attempt. I would like to say thank you to all the people at IPEXPERT for their help. I used ipexpert as the only source for the preparation of my LAB exam and was able to pass within six months in my first attempt.

The new Volume II labs were very helpful and were very much identical to the real CCIE LABs. The additional focus LABs were very helpful too, as they covered all the new areas of CCIE LAB.

I would like to thank you people at proctor LABs as well for their prompt response during off hours.

Thanks to IPexpert for their invaluable assistance during the road to becoming a CCIE. I attended the 5 day voice bootcamp with Mark Snow and it really opened my eyes up to many different scenarios that I wouldn't have thought of on my own. The workbooks and practice labs were instrumental in getting the practice I needed before my lab. In addition to the actual handouts and class, the online forums allowed us to learn from everyone else's comments, scenarios, and challenges during our studies. I really felt like a study group, using all resources offered to me.

In any case, I couldn't have done it without the help of IPexpert, their materials, and of course the instructors. I don't know when they sleep!

My trip along the CCIE road was pretty aligned fully with IPexpert's offerings. From the Workbook and Proctor Guide to the Bootcamp and One Week Lab Experience, IPexpert provided me with a very easy-to-follow, prescriptive way to learn the techniques required to succeed and build a strong base of knowledge not just for the CCIE but also beyond.

Marvin and Mark both know material very, very well; I was always amazed by how quickly they were able to troubleshoot my configurations in the classes as well as in the support they provided me afterwards.

The IPexpert practice labs allowed me to learn each technology independantly before learning to use them together on a single network. The labs were refreshingly well-written, and the answers were accurate and contained detailed explanations.

I'd like to thank IPexpert and especially Vik Malhi for my recent success at passing the CCIE Voice lab. I attended the IPexpert 5 day boot camp.

Vik is a fantastic and knowledgeable instructor. While I had a good understanding of the technology and its implementation, I learned so much in that long week that I really feel it was what gave me the push I needed to pass. I learned many of the finer points on some technologies and got such a better understanding and clarification of how some of technologies worked. Vik just did not help me during the bootcamp but he answered each and every clarification email that I sent to him during my quest..

So Essentially I will say IPexpert was end-end training partner for me.

I would like to give special thanks to Mike Down , I believe he is one of the most successful sales guys i will ever meet. I was able to clear the R&S Lab in RTP on Wednesday and Cisco was kind enough to give me CCIE #21070. The core of my studying was based around IPExpert’s training products and this definitely helped me in passing the exam on my first try. I studied for approximately 4 months and I hold 2.5 years of experience in Routing and Switching.

I highly definitely recommend IPexpert to other candidates and I will look at IPexpert’s materials if I decide to pursue another CCIE.

I was finalizing my preparations for my CCIE lab attempt. I've figured out that I needed a Bootcamp to solidify my knowledge in the subject as well as to identify any possible weaknesses before the lab attempt. IPExpert CCIE Security Bootcamp didn’t really let me down. The mock labs were designed in such a way that it makes you think hard. It really tests how strong is your fundamental security knowledge which is imperial to the lab exam. And from there, I’ve picked up many pointers which it’s so useful for me to consider when attempting the lab. The end results, I’ve passed the CCIE Security Lab Exam in my first attempt!

Marvin was really helpful in answering questions from the students. And also, special thanks to Neil for the support given.

IPexpert really played an excellent outstanding role, without the materials that I bought for Routing and Switching, I would never have passed the CCIE lab on my first attempt. It's not only that, I learned so much from the materials that I bought from IPexpert. I would strongly suggest to everyone, if you want to become a CCIE, IPexpert material is the way to go. Also I listened to the audio and watched the Video DVDs , excellent, it was so informative and very useful. Each and every topic was covered in a very systematic manner and quoting nice examples for each technology was awesome.

Thanks to the IPexpert team, without them I couldn't imagine that I would have passed the CCIE lab. Also the lab materials was great, and it covers each and every technology in depth and I learned so much that I haven't even heard or seen in the past 16 yrs of my work experience. Also I rented the Proctor Labs recommended by IPexpert, which helped me to practice the labs .

Kudos to the entire IPexpert team and special thanks to Neil Apolzan who always helped in giving me directions for getting the correct study materials and practice lab study books.

I can’t say enough about IPexpert’s Voice IE lab bootcamp product. The quality of their courseware, virtual labs, and instructors are second to none. I did exhaustively explore other vendors for my voice IE lab preparation and found that they paled in comparison. IPexpert went above and beyond my expectations and their program stretched my mind to the limit that when I sat the lab the first thing I noticed after reading through the exam was that I felt confident there was nothing on the exam that I couldn’t do. Even if you are not interested in passing the Voice IE lab, this program will saturate you with information that will help separate you from other voip engineers.

Secondly, their virtual lab racks were a reliable resource to me as I didn’t have access to all the gear that was tested. I found that the response times were good for both the applications and gear and I never had an issue with either.

Finally, Vik and Mark were tremendous. You can tell that they want you to pass the exam. I often found them moderating the IPexpert forum afterhours! Not only do they work long days teaching the bootcamp, but they are constantly devising new ways to improve their product. Even during my journey I noticed new features being announced and implemented from IPexpert.

I could go on, but I strongly encourage you to invest yourself with IPexpert.

IPexpert 5 day CCIE Voice Boot Camp led by Vik Malhi was a key component to my passing the voice lab. Vik was extremely knowledgeable, patient and had a teaching style that was easy to follow. The course was structured such that my weaknesses were identified day one and by the end of the 5 day course, I was solid in those areas. I also picked up several techniques that I incorporated into my game plan on game day which resulted in time saving measures.

Reflecting on the materials that were covered in the course and the one-on-one time that I spent with Vik, definitely played a role in my passing the exam. The 5 day course is not meant to teach you the basics, as it assumes a certain level of knowledge, however it is designed to sharpen the tools that you bring in there. Hats off to the IPexpert team, I would highly recommend the 5 day boot camp to any candidates who are 2 months out from taking the real lab. This time frame gives you time to go back home and fine tune the techniques and tips that are taught.

I used IPexpert's excellent Service Provider workbook to prepare for the CCIE service provider lab exam.

The workbook guides you through all hard topics with detailed explanations. Also a big plus is the possibility to schedule online virtual rack sessions to study topics like ATM and MPLS Fast reroute.

The workbook 100% matches the virtual rack topology, which makes patching unnecessary. IPexpert thanks for all the great help!

I would recommend IPexpert to everybody who would like to achieve their CCIE certification.

IPexpert's workbook and proctor guide were the base of my success of getting the R&S CCIE certification.

IPexpert's bootcamp was the final step in my preparation process. The Lab Experience Bootcamp smashed months of labs and racktime into a one-week program that perfectly resembles the real lab feeling. After being with the End 2 End program, I passed my CCIE R&S on April 28th 2008 in San José, CA.

I have traveled 7552 miles to attend the IPEXPERT class and it was worth it in gold. Every aspect of the learning was professional. I have sharpened my knowledge and elevated my skill level. My instructor was perfect. Scott Morris, whose name precedes him all over the world, maximized my ability to pass the exam and so I did pass in my second lab attempt. In fact all the other students that attended the class with me, with whom I stayed in touch with, passed the test. So, thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the IPEXPERT team.

Adi Ashwal

Ben Robinson
CCIE #11604 (R&S and Security)

The training I received from the IPexpert CCIE Boot Camp program was exceptional. As anyone who has ever taken the CCIE lab knows, understanding the technologies in the CCIE blueprint is only half the battle. Time and stress management coupled with approaching the test strategically greatly enhances your chances of passing. The CCIE Boot Camp taught those skills while providing excellent full day lab exercises.

A room full of CCIE candidates is probably not an instructors dream. Questions are bound to be tougher than what you would experience in any other technical training curriculum. Marvin was able to answer all of our questions and enabled me to get the most of my CCIE Boot Camp experience. I would recommend this program to anyone who is serious about passing the CCIE Security Lab.

I have to start off by saying that you guys rock! I passed my CCIE voice exam this week and you guys were a HUGE help in bringing this about. I took the two week boot camp with Vik Malhi as the instructor. The class was thorough and Vik was an excellent teacher, I don’t think there was a question asked the whole two weeks that he didn’t have an answer for. In addition to that, after the class he was very responsive to e-mail questions. I really felt that he was personally committed to my success at passing the lab.

Thanks for everything, I’ll definitely recommend you to anyone looking for CCIE training in the future!

I would like to say a big thank you to Mark Snow and IPexpert for playing a key role in the pursuit of my CCIE. The instructor-led boot camp not only improved my technical knowledge and skills but put me in "the zone" ready for taking the lab test. The instructor-led boot camp was worth it for the strategy training and lab practice alone. By the last day of the course I felt very positive. Three weeks later, I am a CCIE. The new lab material is very testing. I would recommend IPexpert for CCIE training without hesitation.

I would like to thank IPexpert for the superb training, I attended the 5 day ILT training at Dallas, after the training it took me 3 attempts. The third time I had done the IPexpert workbook exercises so much (on the online proctorlabs equipment), that I could build the real lab on the big day in under 5 hours!

The exercises from IPexpert are on a level maybe even higher than the real thing, and so they helped me to really understand what’s what and how it all fits together.

The training, workbook, audio and video material from IPexpert really helped me in achieving my ultimate goal!

The professional presentation of the IPexpert material is, in my opinion, unparalleled. For final day preparation, I used the Video-on-Demand material exclusively, especially the accompanying manual which provides exceptional final tips/points to remember, etc. Scott Morris has an informal/fun approach to the material in the Video-on-Demand that he narrates, I literally laughed out loud when he discusses macros and the problem explaining how to configure a 802.1q trunk to a non-Cisco person (what he talks about has happened to me many times!).....

Thanks for the support, and excellent value for money!

I'd like to thank IPexpert and especially Scott Morris for my recent success at passing the CCIE R&S lab on my 2nd try. I attended their R&S bootcamp the week prior to my 2nd attempt and found it invaluable.

Scott is a fantastic and knowledgeable instructor. While I had a very strong understanding of the technology and its implementation, I learned so much in that long week that I really feel it was what gave me the push I needed to pass. I learned many of the finer points on some technologies and got such a better understanding and clarification of how some of technologies worked.

One of the other major benefits I gained was the understanding of thinking outside the box on solving problems and when to do so. This was a difficult thing for me to grasp until doing the labs in the class. I had so many 'ah-ha' moments during the week my head is still spinning.

Thanks IPexpert!

On February 8th 2008 I passed my CCIE Voice Lab in RTP. I took the IPexpert 10 day boot camp in Richardson TX, and I can’t express enough how much this helped me to pass. I have been working with IPT for over 6 years and have done Call Manager installs all the way back to the version 3.0, but still picked up a wealth of new knowledge at this boot camp that if I hadn’t had I would not have passed.

Vik’s help was amazing and I couldn’t come up with any questions to stump him. If I had a question on any of the technology he always had an answer for me. IPexpert’s Voice boot camp and practice materials are second to none. Had I not gone to the boot camp I don’t feel like I would have passed the lab. I would also like to say the proctor lab equipment is great, and I used it exclusively to study for the lab at home since I could not afford to buy my own lab.

I passed on January 29, 2008. One of my friend recommended IPexpert's CCIE Bootcamp as a good way to prepare for the lab. The bootcamp was really helpful in terms of measuring your own readiness to take the test. I would definitely recommend to sign-up for this bootcamp BEFORE you even sign up for the real lab attempt. You may find out that you are not ready or there are many other/better strategies you could use to give you a better chance at passing the lab.

Mark Snow was very helpful/knowledgeable and provided useful insights about things to look out for during the test. I also ordered the workbook from IPexpert which I used to do time trials for the real test.

I guess I am really proud that I was able to pass this test more than 10 years after I passed my first R&S CCIE. Big thumbs up for IPexpert!

I would like to express my gratitude for the training that I received from IPexpert in preparing for my Voice CCIE lab. I used the Voice Proctor Guide to gain a solid foundation of the possible testable topics in the Voice CCIE lab, and then partook of the 5 day lab experience boot camp taught by Vik Malhi roughly one month before I sat for the exam. I was thoroughly impressed with Vik’s knowledge, and a few times during the course my lab partner and I would bet on how quickly Vik would know the answers to our questions before we finished the questioning sentence.

In addition, during the month after my bootcamp and before my lab practical, I posed many questions to the online forum that Mark Snow would respond too. Mark’s explanations were clear and concise and he went above and beyond in many situations to make sure I understood the material. I am happy to report that on January 22nd of 2008, I passed the Voice lab and feel strongly that IPexpert was a contributing factor.

However, I would also like to make the point that IPexpert does not train people to pass the CCIE Lab exam. To the contrary, IPexpert’s training regiment ensures that each individual actually understands the technology and truly becomes a better engineer.

In much appreciation,

Mike Schultz

On January 14th, 2008 I became Canada's 635th CCIE and I need to thank IP EXPERT. To accomplish this lofty goal I used the Workbook and Proctor Guide.

The workbook starts you off with simpler technology based labs to give you a good foundation for the topics in the CCIE LAB Blueprint. If you already have a good understanding and foundation for some of these topics it is a great refresher.

The rest of the workbook is simply amazing as it is filled with 8-hour labs. These labs vary in difficulty and cover every topic that is listed in the CCIE LAB Blueprint. This workbook definitely exposes you to all you need to be exposed to and gives you ample opportunity to practice each technology and see how one technology can affect another. These 8-hour labs tie everything together.

The Proctor guide is a must have as a companion for the workbook. It explains in detail the solutions that were used to complete each task. It goes one step further by explaining why a particular solution was chosen over another.

The most important thing I learned from IPexpert was how to manage the exam. You need a solid process/strategy to tackle this beast. There are many pressures during this exam as it truly is an expert level exam. The process/strategy you use needs to make sure of a few things. First, you need to understand the topology of your particular lab and draw it out in such a way that it makes sense to you. Secondly, you need solid skills in understanding what is being asked and how to test your answer so that you can feel confident with it and move on to the next question. Third, you need to remain patient and calm when you run into a question that gives you some difficulty. Fourth, you need to do all of this in a minimum of 6 hours not 8 hours. You need at least 2 hours to check your work and "re-do" the exam. Even though I tested everything as I went along, I found some mistakes that might have cost me my number. The extra 2.5 hours I spent re-doing the exam is what put me over the top. Using IPexpert's products I developed a successful process/strategy for the LAB exam.

Once again, thank you to IPexpert. Good luck to all those still seeking their number. I feel confident that IPexpert can help you become an EXPERT as it has helped me.

Thanks

IPexpert was recommended to me by a local Cisco SE, who recently took a boot camp, and by a coworker who used the lab guide to pass his Voice lab last year. I worked through several of the exercises in the workbook before taking the boot camp.

The boot camp really helped me understand several critical areas much better and helped me develop a strategy for the lab. After the boot camp I worked through all of the labs in the workbook and the new e-books using the Proctor Labs online racks. Working through all of the labs helped me learn even more and increased my speed.

After completing the workbook and the e-books I felt ready for the lab and was not nervous on test day. Because of all the hard work and preparation I was able to pass the Voice lab on my first attempt. This was not easy and required many hours of study. You cannot just go to a boot camp and expect to pass, but with hard work and IPexpert products you can pass the lab.

The most important part of the whole experience of studying for and passing the voice lab was that I greatly expanded my voice knowledge, which will help me provide better service to my customers.

I would like to thank Matt Brooks for all the support he has given me through my CCIE Journey and to all the staff. Thanks to Proctor Labs for providing the 50 rack sessions. I couldn't have done it with out you guys! I passed on the second attempt, Jan 7th 2008. My first attempt was Dec 4th and missed by two.

Since my first CCIE Routing & Switching achieved in 2003, I have been used IPexpert workbook. I practiced the complete whole book including the break-down practice and one-day mock labs. It helped me a lot to pass the R&S lab in 2 attempts. The workbook covered much wider scope than the real lab, and it was based on the 9-routers case scenarios (the real lab has only 6 routers). Which helped me a lot to keep the confidence till the end to complete the R&S CCIE lab within 4 hours. Yes, 4 hours only. So I could have another 4 hours to fully test the lab one by one.

Before I started my CCIE Voice study, I researched on which workbook in the market is the best that could fit me to practice the hands-on experience, since I didn't have much hands-on, regardless I was a CCVP. I am so far very happy with the decision to choose the IPExpert workbook. It covered a lot of major topics for the section practice on CallManager, Unity, IPCC, Fax, GW, GK and so forth. It took me 3 attempts to pass Voice CCIE in exact one year. The workbook, again, helped me prepared more stuff than the real lab asked for. So I could feel confidence everytime sit inside the real lab. The first two attempts were not really bad, and I felt I was closer and closer to the final success. And eventually I nailed it down on the 3rd attempt. It was again, in the first 4.5 hours I completed the whole lab, and spent the rest of time for testing and troubleshooting.

IPExpert had the first-class of CCIE Voice rack rental. I tried a couple sessions before the final exam during the Christmas and New Year holiday season. Their after-hour support was phenomenal. It was instant and efficient. I was very impressive with the effort of the support team, since they were just like standing beside you and reply to you through the email and fix the issue very quickly. Also, IPexpert has their own mailing list, in addition to their online CCIE forum, that I could post my questions and get the answer instantly from both instructors and other CCIE candidates around the world.

I would certainly recommend IPexpert products to those future CCIEs. Welcome to the club.

Thank you again IPexpert.

I wanted to follow-up on the IPexpert CCIE Voice boot camp I attended last week with an evaluation and feedback as considers sending other candidates.

First let me tell you that it was excellent! Well put together and well run; The instructor Mark Snow kept the focus of the class (taking the CCIE Voice Lab) on track even when we drifted as a group of senior engineers tend to do. The material was focused on the taking of the lab with just enough tactical and technical detail to keep the students from getting hung up in an area with which they were not familiar. While all the students were definitely senior voice engineers, we had students ranging from just starting out on the path to taking the lab to a student who was 2 weeks away from his next attempt. Mark kept the material and class moving at a perfect customized pace, balancing the individual needs and groups need very well. I was also impressed with the structure of the content and delivery of the material, positioning in such a way to stimulate thinking in the right strategic patterns. For example, the first day we were dumped into accomplishing a number of tasks with very little hand holding much as when we sit for the lab exam, we will be required to figure out how to proceed and overcome obstacles on our own.

My objective in attending was to establish:

* Where I am in relation to actually taking the test
* A plan and structure for studying and preparing for the exam
* An understanding of what the actual exam will be like
* Practice in a mock environment the various scenarios.

I met all four of the these objectives and feel much more likely to have a successful path to completing my certification.

This class would also be successful for a candidate who is closer to actually taking the test (mine is still two months out). In this case the immersion into the material, the focus on the exam itself and the opportunity to have a knowledgeable instructor would be of significant value. There is merit in both scenarios of using the boot camp early on to develop a strategy or later in the process for immersion and focus.

I was lucky to be exposed to both instructors, Mark and Vik both are knowledgeable, articulate and excellent communicators and I would recommend either one for our engineers.

Thank you for all of your help getting me into this class.
Steve Bartos

Back in October I flew over to RTP from here in Melbourne, Australia to sit your CCIE Security boot camp and I'm remarkably glad I did.

The boot camp was fantastic, as was Mark Snow's instruction. Now whilst I know I was wired to the hilt on Mountain Dew through most of the course, it definitely served it's purpose, because I passed my CCIE Security lab first go in San Jose last week on December 19.

Thanks to your Security boot camp, the IPexpert Workbook and Proctor Guide, rack time from Proctor Labs (and a lot of support from the guys there at midnight when somehow I managed to break my lab connectivity), and (harking back a little bit) Scott's R&S boot camp which I did in August 2006 (which was fantastic preparation for my first CCIE lab), I can sit here and thank you and all your team for helping me attain my Dual-CCIE status.

I'm thoroughly impressed to date with the instruction and materials provided for both tracks, and having just passed my CCIE Voice written exam yesterday (yeah, I'd been tossing up Voice or Security all year having done the professional tracks for both, and now I've done my CCIE Security I can barely wait to get my Voice track started) I look forward to hopefully seeing you again sometime in the first half of 2008 for a CCIE Voice boot camp.

I'm what you might call a "remarkably satisfied" customer.

Kind Regards,

Just wanted to take a moment since I now have some free time after passing R&S yesterday in RTP to say Thank you.

I wanted to let you know that your products, R&S Workbooks, Audio CD, and especially the Video on Demand series, helped me to understand the technologies with led me to pass the lab. Your products where able to help me understand the technologies as well as how to configure them in different ways, ways that you would not normally do in the real world.

Your Video on Demand product was a great help and allowed me to review information when I needed to in a way that is unachievable in text books alone. It is wonderful to be able to listen and watch a presentation and have the ability to rewind when you do not understand a topic (ACLs anyone?).

Thank you for producing wonderful products and please keep up the good work.

My name is Mladen Papric and I from Serbia. My CCIE number is 19695 and it is from Security. I have passed exam from first try and I have many thanks to give to CCIE Security 10 day boot camp from IPexpert. On that camp I have bust my knowledge, I had great insight to problem I new I had and problems I didn’t know I had. So I have paid special attention to those problems and with help of IPexpert instructor I overcome those problems. And most importantly I have learned time management.

After 16 months and over 1,000 hours of preparation beyond the CCVP, I passed my CCIE Voice lab on December 17, 2007. I consider myself very fortunate to have used IP Expert as my primary source of training and information – their lab guides and remote-rack sessions were instrumental in helping me achieve the CCIE.

As a former engineering instructor, I was also grateful to have had two extremely talented CCIE Voice instructors for the boot camps I attended. Both Vik and Mark were truly impressive during the classes, and their knowledge and teaching skills made the classes incredibly worthwhile. In fact, their efforts extended well beyond the classroom – both instructors spend a lot of time answering student questions at www.certificationtalk.com, and both instructors are more than willing to ‘go the extra mile’ when it comes to supporting their students after the class is complete.

When I look back on my study notes and see the progress I made during the course of my preparation, I must acknowledge that without IPexpert my progress would have been significantly slower. I know for a fact that I would not have passed in December were it not for the advantages afforded me by IPexpert, and I’m genuinely grateful for everyone’s efforts on my behalf.

Thanks again!

I passed my CCIE Security last week in San José. I have used IPexpert materials to help me achieve this goal. I participated to the Security 5 days boot camp that helped me in mastering the technology. I also used the Security workbook 4.1 as well as the rack provided by ProctorLabs. This all experience was amazing for me as I moved As a windows System administrator more to the Networking and specifically to security. I would like to thanks the IPexpert for the quality of their material, the support. Thanks you again. I have also taken the R&S boot camp and used the R&S workbook 9 and I am looking forward to achieve this second goal per the coming year.

Hi there,

Just want to thank all at IPexpert for delivering a high quality workbook. I just used the workbook and downloaded the configs. I did all labs except the last; maybe I'll give it a try now. The labs were stimulating and sometimes complex. If one wants to get into the subtleties of routing protocols, this book delivers.

To the IPexpert team,

I finally passed my R&S lab in San Jose yesterday. I used your R&S workbook and proctor v8.0, v8.1, and v9.0 guides to help firm up my understanding with a few of the other technologies (i.e. Multicast and QoS) outside the core. The provided outputs for some of the labs in the v9.0 proctor guide, which weren't there in v8.0, were exactly what I needed to verify my readiness.

Sincerely,

I flew half way around the world to attend a boot camp from IPexpert the week prior to sitting my lab. I arrived with many months of home study under my belt using IPexpert workbooks. The boot camp provided the finishing touches for me, broadening my knowledge and also importantly boosted my confidence going into my lab the following week. I passed my lab on the first attempt. Special thanks go out to my boot camp instructor Mark Snow. Mark (as I am sure all IPexpert instructors do) gave a 110% commitment to the class, being in attendance for long days every day. His knowledge for teaching, and skill for troubleshooting was top class. Thanks to Mike Down also for the effort in helping me work through arrangements to attend the boot camp.

IPexpert as the name states really help in reaching the expert level and prepares you to achieve one's coveted CCIE Number. I cleared CCIE in Security Domain in November but before that extensively went through various workbooks but the level of preparation and confidence built up after practicing through IPexpert workbook and proctor guide ver 4.1 was immense. I would always advice everyone to go through IPexpert workbook during the intermediate and the final stage of preparation.

I have been a customer of IPEXPERT since summer of 2006, and their workbook and labs helped me enforce the core foundation of the technologies needed to pass on the second attempt.

The labs had a variety of challenges that really tested you on the technologies that one needs to know to pass.

The greatest thing about using IPEXPERT is their WEB GUI to manage, schedule and connect to the racks!

Thank you,

Initially I started my career as a programmer in IT. After completing my Post graduation with networks as my specialization, CCIE was my personal career objective. IPexpert and all its wonderful CCIE self paced learning workbooks helped me in achieving my goal. I started preparing for my lab since 2 years and completed my goal in III attempt. The step by step labs in the workbook really helped me a lot to grasp more in a little time. Proctor Guide to the workbook was a splendid tool to enhance my understanding of the lab. Every lab in the workbook gave me a good inspiration to achieve my number. Mock labs at IPexpert were very useful to practice before going for the main exam. The proctor lab rentals were really cool. The online support and chat facilities provided by IPexpert are marvelous. I thank everyone @ IPexpert to helping me in achieving this certification. My special thanks goes to Scott, Neil and Amy.

After months of study, including an IPexpert Boot Camp, I've now passed my CCIE at the second attempt. I'd like to thank Mark Snow in particular for his excellent work during the boot camp and for his willingness to answer my questions after the course. I found the IPexpert self-study books to be an excellent resource, especially when combined with Proctor Labs' vRacks.

My experience with IPexpert has been very positive and I've found all the staff that I've had dealings with very helpful. The Online Study Group email list was also very helpful for sharing interesting problems and working things out. I will certainly be recommending IPexpert to any of my colleagues who are considering a CCIE.

Through the use of IPEXPERT workbooks and the bootcamp training, I was able to successfully complete my CCIE in Security. I have been in other Cisco bootcamps in the past and this was without question, was not only the best bootcamp I have attended, but best overall class attended. I would like to personally Thank Mark Snow and especially Marvin Greenlee for their support both during and after the class. I am a customer of IPexpert since 2002, when your first CCIE Security workbook had been released. At that time I was more a novice in Cisco security and had no chance to pass the lab, nevertheless practical studying allowed me to move forward in my career. On Friday July 20, 2007 I passed my CCIE Security exam on my third try, after 8 months of studying.

Since I passed my written exam on December 14, 2006 I have been focusing on the security lab mainly using, IPexpert's Workbook with the Proctor guide and the Audio Boot Camp.

I have also tried other workbooks on the market during my time of studying, but, without a doubt, there is no other guide (to my knowledge) that is more educational than IPexpert's.

Focusing not only on a guide for passing the exam but also to learn the technology makes your material excellent!

Thanks for an excellent study material and service during my time of studying

Looking forward to my R&S Boot Camp in Dallas ;)

I would like to especially thank Vik {IPexpert Instructor}. He stuck with me even after the class and helped point out the good and the bad that I was doing so that I could focus on areas that needed improvement. Without him it would have been a much harder road to travel. He deserves many kudos!

I have been studying for the CCIE Voice exam since Jan 1, 2007. I estimate that I have put in a minimum of 1200 hours of class/practice time. I primarily used IPexpert/Proctor Labs for their virtual voice equipment and Lab Preparation Workbooks and Proctor Guide, which I felt gave me the closest thing to the real lab experience. I even used the Audio Boot Camp CDs to listen and absorb while doing other activities. I also attended the two-week IPexpert Voice Boot Camp in March which taught me way more than I ever expected. Vik Malhi, the instructor, is the most knowledgeable person I have ever met. I have been implementing AVVID systems for close to 7 years and thought I knew it all (or at least most of it), but the IPexpert Boot Camp proved me wrong. I really did learn a lot in this class and was able to hone my skills in order to obtain my number. I passed the lab in San Jose on 7/16/2007 and owe IPexpert/Proctor Labs and especially Vik, heartfelt thanks, as it would have taken twice the attempts to do so without them. If you want to pass your lab in the minimum amount of attempts, I highly recommend IPexpert/Proctor Labs for their excellent products and expertise. There is no one else even close to them.

Thanks again for everything!!!

I would like to thank everyone at IPexpert for assisting in preparing me for my CCIE lab. The labs provided in the workbook were clear and helped me to acquire and hone the skills I needed (not just for my lab, but for my future). I found the online study list forum very helpful; the support that I and many others have received from people like Scott Morris was second to none.

I have already recommended IPexpert to a number of my friends, and will certainly use IPexpert products in the preparation for my next track (but think I'm going to take a breather from study for a little while).

Thanks very much to IPexpert. Their Voice Boot Camp and study material are excellent! Their in-depth training and instruction really helped me grasp a greater level of understanding on several items that were not completely clear to me. I believe the lab material to be current and relevant. Also, the customer support was extremely quick and accurate even when I was up late at night studying. I changed my test taking strategy after going through the course including my interpretation of how questions are asked. I would highly recommend their courses and material to anyone who needs that extra preparation to help get you through this grueling exam.

The CCIE Security Boot camp taught by Marvin Greenlee opened my eyes to what was expected of a CCIE candidate. The practice labs were full of test questions/scenarios I never even imagined! This instructor was exceptional! He never directly gave you the answer, but he taught you how to think and come up with the answer on your own, precisely what is needed to pass the lab.

Thanks IPexpert for helping me accomplish one of my most important career goals.

My studying for the CCIE Security was a really enriching experience. More important than getting my CCIE number is the process of studying for it. I was working while I was studying and it was a big effort to study every night and all weekends. My first step was to gather documentation to each point of the blueprint and then read it carefully. I then followed the IPexpert Workbook for the mini-labs and for the "one-day labs". For the mini-labs I used my company spares and for the one-day-labs I rented rack time on Proctor Labs racks. I always felt big support from IPexpert team even in subjects outside the workbook scope and that was important because as you know the CCIE blueprint is a little bit subjective.

Thank you for helping to make reaching the CCIE possible. I was privileged to review the Video on Demand DVDs and Audio boot camp CDs. I had lot of weak areas and these helped me a lot in filling in areas in which I was not strong. To pass the CCIE Voice lab, I needed access to the equipment that I would be tested on. For me, it was not cost effective to purchase my own lab equipment, so the only option was to use an online simulation. I attended the IPexpert 5 day Voice Boot Camp instructed by Vik and I had such a positive experience working with the lab pods that it was a very easy decision to use Proctor Labs online simulations to finish my training. The scenarios in the proctor guide helped me prepare for the exam, and I don't think I could have passed without them.

I've referred 3 other employees to use the IPexpert services and I'm sure there will be more.

I passed my CCIE Security lab on 10th May and I would like to thank IPexpert for providing an excellent lab workbook, which proved invaluable during my preparation for the actual lab. The actual lab was tough but fair and this workbook really did put me in a good position to tackle the lab. Thanks again.

Marvin,

Thank you for guidance and expertise in achieving the CCIE Security Lab. You did an excellent job in covering the exam topics, especially your discussion of strategy and tips for managing the exam.

My first attempt on the CCIE security version 2 blueprint was March 26th. I did not pass the exam at that time, although I was very close. (the failed attempts are never fun to talk about although, I like to think they build character.)

On May 7th I made my second attempt in San Jose, and I passed. Below is my number from the Cisco CCIE website.

I cannot thank you enough for all your help. I do not feel as though I could have completed the journey without the help of the IPexpert team.

Team,

I just wanted to send thanks for all of the support throughout the pursuit of the CCIE Security. I sat the lab again in RTP on Monday and just received my results; CCIE #17834. From the willingness of Mark Snow to sit with us in Richardson and share CCIE experiences, to Scott exchanging email after email with encouragement after the first failure, and Matt continuing to support the effort offering updated materials and assisting with everything along the way, your team is top notch. A special thanks to Marvin G for the class in San Jose; this was the single, most beneficial point during the study process for me, and truly believe that it pushed me right over the edge to get where I needed to be. I just wanted to say thanks for all of your help. I took the lab in Brussels in March 2007 and got the good news that I passed! I spent a lot of time studying and went through both IPexpert workbooks versions 8 & 9. What really helped me was the detailed write-ups and explanations for each lab scenario which helped me understand how the technology works. The Proctor Guide is an amazing product! Over the past 2 years of intense studying, I used products from other vendors as well, however, it was IPexpert products that helped me the most in gaining the understanding and knowledge I needed to pass the lab. I would highly recommend IPexpert to my friends who want to pursue a Cisco CCIE certification. It has a proven path to guide you to the final success.

"I have some good news to report… Sunday was Dennis vs. CCIE version 2.0. After 8 long hours, I came out ahead. My new number is #17336.I wanted to thank you and IPExpert for providing a wonderful preparation experience (including the workbook, bootcamp, and your help!). I certainly would not have been as successful without all of these ingredients. I would suggest IPExpert to any of my colleagues and peers who are following similar pursuits."

Thank you for your support!!!

I just wanted to send you a quick e-mail of thanks for the IPExpert training material. I passed my CCIE Voice on Friday at RTP. I only ordered the Workbook but it gave me a good starting point and a great overview on what to expect on the lab. By the time my recent lab rolled around, I was using the workbook solutions as a reference to be sure that the practice lab I created was correct.

Thanks Again!

Hello from Croatia,

I was attending your bootcamp three weeks ago in Austin. Found it very helpful. I passed on Thursday in Bruxelles on the first attempt. It's CCIE #17291 :-) Thanks again for everything. Maybe we'll met in the future while doing some other track.

Best regards & thanks once again,

First of all, let me say thank you for providing this wonderful training material for the CCIE lab exam preparation. With out your Workbook and Proctor Guide, I wouldn't imagine how to cover so many topics in the Cisco CCIE lab exam.

I would highly recommend my friends who want to pursue Cisco CCIE certification to go for IPexpert. It has a proven path to guide you to the final success.

IPexpert helped me attain my CCIE by providing me with various labs that pushed me to create complex scenarios that I could not have done by myself. Having the labs set up in this manner enabled me to put to use all of the theory I had learned, and prepared me for what the real CCIE exam would be like.

Thanks!

I started my CCIE Routing and Switching lab preparation by purchasing the IPexpert R&S Workbook. After having done extensive self study, I was surprised at the depth and challenge of the IPexpert labs. The lab books exposed me to many CCIE "traps" and technologies that I never would have thought of on my own.

One thing that was beneficial to my start was how the labs built upon one another. This helped me from feeling overwhelmed and allowed me to dive into subjects in great detail. The support forum at www.certificationtalk.com was a major component in my review. I found that many of the moderators were able to help explain why some of the solutions were chosen. I also found that the board was a great place to build relationships with others who know exactly what challenges you are facing with balancing the study / life ratio.

Overall my experience with the IPexpert lab book was a good one and one that I would recommend to anyone serious about passing the CCIE lab exam. The lab booklet helped me to develop my configuration speed, identify my weaknesses and build my confidence that "YES, I TOO CAN BE A CCIE".

Thank you IPexpert!

After passing my CCIE written exam in Sept 2005 I started studying for the LAB exam. I decided to give myself 12 months to study for this as I wanted to make sure I had enough time to cover all the relevant material (and did not fancy shelling out another $1200 for a second attempt if possible). After looking at the various possible study guides I decided to use IPexpert Workbooks and Proctor Guides. I worked through every LAB in this workbook twice. This may sound “over the top” to some people but I wanted to make sure firstly that I understood all the material and secondly that I could configure the core technologies quickly without having to refer to DOC CD.

Anyway, this approach worked for me as when I came to sit my LAB in October 2006 I passed on the first attempt.

Thanks
Mark, CCIE #17007 (R&S)

Well I passed and I owe a great deal of it to IPexpert (Mark) and you’re awesome Workbooks and Proctor Guide! I ran through almost every lab in detail and the Proctor Guide/support forum was always there to help when I was in a pinch!

Thanks Mark, Vik and IPexpert! Nice work, you rock!

IPexpert played a vital role in my preparation for CCIE lab exam. I used IPexpert R&S lab Workbook and Proctor guide which made my preparation focused and it did certainly covered all the topics in lab blue print (and more). Moreover it assisted me in tackling any core routing and switching topic with speed and accuracy. Further it provided the depth and numerous ways of dealing non-core topics in lab exam. Overall IPexpert material helped me to pass the exam on my first attempt.

I would like to thank IPexpert and Scott Morris for the tremendous assistance and words of encouragement that I received to obtain my CCIE number for Routing and Switching. I attended the CCIE Routing and Switching Bootcamp in Jan 2006 and obtained my CCIE number in September 2006. Scott Morris was an outstanding instructor. He was able to communicate the topics in such a very professional and personal manner that made learning the CCIE topics fun. Scott encouraged me to persevere. The bootcamp format helped me reinforced topics that I was knowledgeable of and also highlighted topics that I needed to devote additional time towards.

In addition, I purchased the Routing and Switching Workbook. Between the bootcamp material and the Routing and Switching Workbook, I had a tremendous foundation to begin and complete my pursuit of the CCIE in Routing and Switching. Thanks for all your assistance IPexpert and Scott Morris!!!!

I am now pursuing the CCIE Service Provider certification for 2007, of course, with IPexpert and Scott Morris."

To help prepare for my CCIE Routing & Switching lab exam I used both the IPexpert Workbook and Proctor Guide . I will have to say that the workbook definitely tests your knowledge of core and non-core subjects by exploring some of the less-used commands and/or options associated with traditional commands. This definitely helped give me an edge which I believe was ultimately what helped push me over the top! Also of great value were the mini-labs at the beginning of the workbook which cover each of the major topics in great detail.

"You'll not remember me but I just spotted that you were online on certificationtalk and thought I'd drop you a quick note. I couldn't find a way to email you directly from that site so I dug out your business card (I attended one of your bootcamps about a year ago). As I've mentioned in the subject line above - I passed my CCIE voice yesterday. I've been using the ipexpert voice workbook version 4 for the last month and I found it to be well written and the solutions well explained. However, to be honest, it was the bootcamp that did it for me, and I've recommended it to many of my colleagues in the UK."

Guys! I have made it, and this is a Team work.

I'd like to extend my special gratitude to someone who is forgotten and has donated to the success of many CCIEs and Engineers, Wayne Lawson , the architect of Certification Talk. Because of IPexpert and Certification Talk, I've learned things I never would have known otherwise.

Scott Morris. The encyclopedia of www.Certificationtalk.com and www.groupstudy.com. I can’t imagine your brain to keep hold of such an immeasurable mass of information?

Thank you for all your help and with all my unending questions both on the Group Study and www.certificationtalk.com. You have an ingenious way of answering people question, its a gift you have there.

And your product (www.ipexpert.com), your workbook was quite helpful and was my primary study material for my last attempt, and your customer service was awesome to me. Matt, Wayne, and all the guys in IPexpert, I thank you for that excellent product. I will look forward to using your product for my SP Track.

Finaly I wanna thank all the guys on CertificationTalk that help me in one way or the other in answering my unending questions.

I came across IPexpert from Groupstudy, and your knowledgable CCIE Scott Morris. After seeing his responses and his expertise in how he answered questions, I decided to purchase the Audio series. It was excellent, and something that really helped me pull everything together, and remember a few of the basics that sometimes drifts off while studying all the topics for the lab. Many thanks!

Big thanks goes to the IPexpert team and especially Scott Morris. I went through most of the labs in the workbook and proctor guide and also attended the R&S bootcamp. I was fortunate enough to pass the lab on the FIRST TRY! The key is definitely practice, practice, and more practice. I highly recommend the materials from IPexpert as I felt very prepared in the real lab as I was going through it. Thanks again!

My experience at the IPexpert CCIE Voice boot camp truly prepared me to achieve my CCIE Voice certification. Mark and Vik are simply outstanding in their ability to drill down into the foundation of the numerous technologies a CCIE Voice candidate will encounter. This approach allows students to be fully prepared regardless of the scenario presented to them. This combined with extensive lab time, comprehensive scenarios, and exposure to extremely knowledgeable peers at the boot camp was critical to my success. Hats off to the entire IPexpert staff for providing a world class product !

If I had any advice it would be buy the IPExpert Lab Workbook. Take the IPExpert R&S Boot Camp from Scott Morris. And finally, get the lab time in. Practice is the key to not feeling overwhelmed on the actual test.

First, big thanks to IPexpert staff for all the help and support during this journey!

I feel, IPexpert products put me on the proper study path for the Voice cert. Study kit is well planned and packed with lots of great information. I studied for two weeks only, mainly focusing on the lab scenarios in the workbook which I found to be very challenging. The workbook introduces things in small doses and builds complexity in subsequent chapters which I found to be an excellent approach. The course helped me plan and organize my knowledge which I feel is the most important aspect of this exam.

Last but not the least, the staff is friendly and prompt which does make a difference. A big one!! I would definitely recommend IPexpert to folks pursuing the voice track.

I congratulate IPexpert for their excellent resources and thank them for all the help along the way.

Keep up the good work!

I would imagine everyone goes to the “boot camps” for different reasons, some may need a crash course in the technology before a test, others may need an opportunity to use the lab equipment, and some (like myself) needed to bridge the gaps of work experience and study experience. Mark Snow miraculously was able to cater to all three demographics within the class. The course materials were very focused on the subject matter, and we were encouraged to ask questions when we had them. I haven’t been to a lot of training classes in my career simply for the reason that I am not a proponent of classroom learning, I feel for our industry laboratory learning is essential. The “boot camp” I attended had a healthy amount of both. I evaluated some of the competitor offerings, but I knew IPexpert teamed with Proctor Labs was the clear choice, both have very good products and from what I could gather Cisco’s preferred training partner for the IE disciplines was IPexpert.

Mark really handled himself very well (I couldn’t imagine the difficulty of trying to teach a room full of people who are trying to be experts); I got an immediate feeling that he treated us all as peers and he did something few instructors do; he was able to learn from the students about what we have seen in our studying and experiences. IPexpert and Proctor Labs will be my first stop on the road to getting my R&S certification in the upcoming months, I feel that the experience at the Boot Camp with Mark and the other students and the rack time from Proctor Labs was an essential part to my success.

Just wanted to send a short message of thanks for all of the help I received from IPexpert while studying for my CCIE voice.

IPexperts gave me the knowledge I needed through your week long bootcamp so I could focus on the right material and pass the CCIE Voice lab.

In particular your instructor Mark Snow was a huge help. Not only because he is a Voice CCIE himself, but also because of his dedication to continue education in Cisco Voice over IP product set. Unlike other CCIE prep instructors that I’ve heard about, Mark was able to help our class gain a deep understanding of what the different components are actually doing under the covers rather than just telling us what he had experienced on his test. I was able to take that knowledge and be prepared for whatever was asked in my exam not just try to memorize some answers and hope I got the same test. This not only preserves the integrity of the test, in my opinion but also give candidates the skills to perform at an expert level in their jobs once they obtain the CCIE certification.

I believe that IPexpert has the best approach to CCIE preparation and that approach would not be possible with out strong technical resources like Mark as instructors.

Thank you Mark and IPexpert for all your help in making me a success in not only obtaining the Voice CCIE but in also obtaining the knowledge to become an expert in Cisco Voice over IP technology.

I made use of almost of all your products; the workbook/proctor guide, the two Instructor lead bootcamps, as well as the audio bootcamp. I would like to say that IPexpert Lab workbook and Proctor Guide were the main reason of passing the CCIE lab. When I first bought them almost 1 year ago I was hardly a CCNP. I studied them carefully. Reviewed those many times and made sure not to miss anything and I always referred to certificationtalk.com forum when facing any problem understanding or solving a specific tasks. I always found what I'm looking for. And when I walked into the lab room and started my exam every thing looked familiar and simple and I knew exactly what do and how will I deal of it. So thank you very much for such spectacular material.

I would like to thank IPexpert in helping me achieve my CCIE number. The IPexpert audio classes were the only sound coming from my car radio for months. Scott Morris does a terrific job with explaining the different concepts and techniques of not only the CCIE studies, but the network technology in general. Every time I listened to the classes, I learned something new that could relate to both the CCIE studies and my day to day work. Again thanks to IPexpert and Scott Morris in helping with this milestone in my career.

The IPexpert workbook was an excellent source for R&S scenarios. Every scenario put me through different problems and issues, which may arise in the lab.
The IPexpert Proctor Guide was there to clarify issues I did not understand. When I was not able to practice on racks, I used the IPexpert Audio CD's, which kept the theory in place. The Proctor Labs vRack sessions were an extra bonus as the routers and switches were what is being used in the real lab and supported every latest IOS feature. Using these products I found success and am CCIE# 16287 (R&S).

I've been working as a network developer for at an ISP for 5 years but when I investigated CCIE R&S, I realised just how many large gaps there were in my knowledge. I'd previously attended a CCIE preparation week at a major training company but I found the material too generalized and out of date to be of any significant use. When I learned that my employers were downsizing, I decided to take the redundancy payment and qualify as a CCIE(R&S) to get a much better job elsewhere.

I needed quality training materials to help me quickly fill in all my weak knowledge areas and to start thinking like a CCIE. The IPexpert Workbook v8.0 did both of these for me and was great value for money as I didn't need to buy any other workbooks. It's early lab exercises tested existing knowledge, identified weak areas and introduced me to new Cisco technologies that I didn't even know existed. The later labs made me consider all potential solutions to each requirement and how they would interact to find the best overall solution. When I got stuck, Scott Morris was available in the forums to clarify the solution.

I passed the CCIE with confidence on my first attempt and now look forward to a much better job.

I would like to thank IPexpert for their excellent lab book. Some time after passing the CCIE written I took 3 months off work. First I went through all the topic labs for about a month and after that I tried to tackle 1 lab/day, and then participated in a bootcamp. In the last week
I went over some specific lab scenario's again. These were the toughest 3 month of my life studying 13-15 hours every day, but it was worth the effort since I passed first time. I found the IPexpert lab scenario's to be an excellent resource. They reflected all the sections in the blueprint.

I recently passed the Routing and Switching lab. Throughout my preparation (using the audio boot camp), Scott Morris was my constant companion while driving; and in the office endlessly lecturing me on most of the topics I saw on the lab. Even after months of repetition,
I occasionally understood something new or heard something like it was the first time. I'm certain that it contributed greatly to my success. Mr. Morris even answered questions that I emailed him directly, which was fantastic and much more helpful than I could reasonably expect. The only lab book I used in my preparation was IPexpert's. I found those labs to be significantly more challenging than the actual lab (exam) and would suspect that anybody who completed them correctly within the time limits would walk right through the lab (exam).

The IPexpert products put me on the proper path to my development as an engineer. The materials were all well thought out and constructed to provide a good assessment of what you would expect to know as a CCIE candidate. I felt the support from IPexpert was also first-rate. Its my pleasure to say thank you to IPexpert for there product that helped me achieve my CCIE number. IPexperts R$S lab book strengths lie in the way that they are able to lead an absolute beginer to CCIE up to the point of CCIE lab readiness together Tom Larus warm up labs. Your approach of about 18 technology focused labs before attempting the more challenging 18 hour multi-protocol labs is a unique approach that works!

If there is one strength that cannot be surpassed by your competition it has to be Scott Morris and the instructor lead R&S bootcamp he conducts. As I said before on GS, that bootcamp guide book is the CCIE ultimate guide to getting the basics right! You can be assured of my continued recomendation to other South African clients, which up to now includes: Carl Celliers, Vidhu Sobrun and Johnny Cockburn.

Keep well and all the best for the future.

CCIE (R&S) #15661

My story begins when I proposed myself to be a CCIE. I did a market survey, and after talking with some CCIE colleagues, they told me that they've used IPexpert lab workbook on their lab prepping.

But, I was alone on my study, so I needed, besides a book with exercises, some kind of guide that would point me on the right direction. The Proctor guide seemed like the ideal choice.

So, I ordered the book.

When I received it, I started dwelling into it and the day after I set up my lab.

Fortunately, my company provided me with a full lab, which allowed me study on my own. I was also "relieved" of work a month before the lab date.

I followed the order of labs provided on the Workbook, and it was great. You start nice and easy, going through the several technologies labs, being challenged gradually, and making sure you do not miss any aspect of it.

When the Proctor Guide hints were not enough for me to understand what did the question imply, the Certificationtalk forum, along with other CCIE forums provided great help in understanding what the question wanted. Also on this forum, I had support from people directly involved on the writing of the workbook, namely Scott Morris.

So, with all this materials at hand, I never felt alone on my CCIE journey. I had the support of a proctor with Proctor Guide, the support of people on the same situation that I was, and I had the support of the guys who had written the labs.

After the technology labs, I went to the full 8 hour labs. They were hard!

I never meant to be able to fulfill the labs on the estimated time that the workbook gave me, because I was intending to read, understand and learn as you go. But even with that perspective, the amount of work and reading and testing that I had to do in order to move on with the labs was so big, that instead of the intended 8 hours, I was taking 30! (three days, 10hour study each). By the end I had the impression that I did not leave any stone unturned on DocCD. I did the 4 mock-labs at the end of the book in a blink, and that helped me gain confidence to face the real thing.

Then I went to the lab. I was so overconfident that I failed. In deed I had practiced the technology, but I didn't practice the exam taking... I interpreted wrongly some questions, overlooked some issues, and by the end I got a FAIL. Yet, I have no one else to blame for it besides me. IP Expert book did a great job leading me through the technologies, but for external reasons I failed.

After that, I booked my second attempt to early January, and after practicing what I thought I had missed, being calm, labbing stuff, practicing interpretation and trying to see all angles of a question and having a good night sleep... I passed. Simple as that.

Wanted to drop you guys a line a let you know that I passed the Security lab in San Jose on Monday Oct 3rd. Thanks for the excellent workbook as well as the bootcamp that I attended in Chicago back in May. After my first lab attempt I realized that I was definitely not studying correctly for the lab. I purchased the Security lab workbook and began working through it. I have to say that your lab book approach really helped me in my study efforts. Shortly there after I attended the Security bootcamp to help "polish" my skills. Unfortunately before my next attempt I was stuck on the East Coast with work for two weeks right before my next lab attempt and I had no time to study. After that attempt I went through your book and the blue print one more time and successfully passed.

Things are pretty simple: other similar products just aren't hard enough to prepare you for tasks that await you on lab exam. And there is also certificationtalk.com forum which can help you a lot with really heavy tasks. The thing i like the most about this forum is it's unwritten policy: harder question, bigger priority.

Overall it would take me six months longer to prepare for lab if i used other materials.

Hey Vik,
I wanted to pass along that the 2nd time was the charm for me....I passed :) and finally got my number (14879). I honestly didn't think I had passed, because I knew I had dropped about 10 points out the gate, but I must have been proficient for the other 90 points.

Also, thanks for the class...it really helped me in two key areas....1) by going through the blueprint in a classroom setting, it helped me to know what to better focus on to get the core items and 2) the time management techniques. Taking the test the first time also helped tremendously...I wasn't half as nervous this time around, and actually got a good night sleep the night before.

Anyways, I wanted to pass along the good news and to tell you thanks for your instruction.

I purchased both Warm-Up workbooks by Tom Larus at the beginning of my
studies, sometime in the latter half of 2004.
The difficulty level of the labs was just enough to be difficult without
being frustrating. I feel they were instrumental in helping me achieve a
firm understanding of the basics, along with a lot of reading material
of course.
I can honestly say that Tom did a great job on these workbooks. They're
just right for beginners and gives them the right approach to begin
tackling the more difficult multi-technology mock CCIE labs from
IPExpert and other vendors. I'm satisfied with the quality of the
product and the level of detail in the answers given. I highly recommend
these workbooks for those that are beginning their CCIE R&S studies or
those who are coming back to it after a long hiatus.

In the future, I plan to pursue other tracks and will definitely take a
second look at your workbooks to get a feel for different study
material.

thanks for all your help at IPexpert. I have been
working on my CCIE for about 2 years now and the truth
be told.. I never realized the amount of knowledge
that is available in these workbooks. I was simply
completing them in a race and wasn't really taking the
time to understand why something was done a certain
way. I attended two other boot camps that didn't
really offer any new information that I didn't already
have in these workbooks.

Thanks IPexpert, I couldn't have done it with out
you.

Just to let you know I passed my lab June 17th in Brussels (CCIE #14786). I would never passed if I hadn't spent some bucks for your acclaimed R&S v7.0 workbook. Thanks Scott & All for your help and patience and for giving us such a great product. Invaluable stuff !!! - actually I recommend anyone looking for CCIE track to prepare using your materials.

Many thanks, IPexpert !

I have purchased IPexpert's CCIE Voice Workbook last year and it was a
great resource to start my CCIE Voice preparation with. What I really liked about the Workbook was the selection of topics joint together in the labs scenarios. It was quite challenging as you would get a feeling of attending the real lab from the very first scenario. There were lots of real world scenarios which enhanced my skills and contributed to the Lab success as well as the success in my every day tasks at work.

There were little things that could be improved ( like technical support
for the book and vRack ), but the overall experience was excellent!

I would like to use this opportunity again to thank IPexpert again for the great job you did in preparing CCIE Voice workbook.

Best Regards,

Marina Kaminski

After almost a full year of solid studying for the CCIE Lab exam I finally passed it on my 4th attempt on May 5th, 2005 out at RTP. I could not have done it without the IPexpert Lab Workbook, the Student Guide materials, and the invaluable advice and knowledge provided by Scott Morris. I truly learned from Scott how to "think like the router" as well as prepare my own personal test taking strategy.

In my opinion, the final pieces needed for preparation are attending the Lab exam Bootcamp and spending the time to prepare your own test taking strategy and practicing it with a wide variety of Practice Labs.

The materials that I got from IPexpert were all top notch and really stretched my imagination at times. I found quite a bit of the material to be much more difficult than the actual lab exam itself. But, in the end, preparing with that level of difficulty made the test that much less difficult given the time constraints. It allowed me to not have to question myself when I ran into a strange problem. I could usually see right through to the objective of the problem and determine the correct approach.

Thank you to IPexpert for everything that you provided. I really don't think that I would have been successful at this without having gone through your program. You don't just hand over all the answers. You lead the student in the right direction and show them exactly how to be successful and leave the rest up to them which is how it should be.

I would like to thank Wayne, Scott and all of the IPexpert staff for creating a great workbook and e-scenarios. I passed in San Jose on my first attempt after studying with your materials. The Workbook labs go way beyond the real thing and truly prepared me for anything. It's like training for a marathon and then only having to go half that distance. Thanks again for helping to make this goal a reality.

I used the workbook and took the mocklabs. I think the workbook is the best on the market although I can only compare it to the samples from the other vendors. I acquired and read the usual Cisco Press books, Routing TCP/IP, DQOS, Internet Routing Architectures, etc. The workbook and solution guide were my bible during my studies. I had to take the lab several times but I very seldom encountered anything on the lab that was not touched on in the workbook. The mechanism for delivering the mock labs is extraordinarily good, I couldn't believe that the quality was still good even when my cable went out and I had to revert to dial-up.

I really appreciate the help the IPExpert was able to give me with the CCIE saga! I started with the warm up book from Tom Laurus. That was a great little starter, and showed me I needed to relearn a lot of things the proper way. At the end of my learning stretch I was able to get the Gold membership, and that was pretty amazing, the amount of info available in them. I would have to say, that one of the biggest advantages you have in this industry is Scott. He has a head full of information, and I learned a lot from his emails on Groupstudy. Make sure you don't lose him!

Hi,

I got my number in Hong Kong today!

Most thanks to Brian(s) , Scott , Bruce and GS.

1. I use IE's workbook to prepare. It's a brilliant product covers a lot of topics you need in the exam.

2. I also use IPexpert's Audio boot camp and student handbook. I think these are also "must have". With Scott's well explaination, it save me a lot of time. This month I could only hear Scott's voice. Not my wife's. :)

3. Tech notes from NetMasterClass are also excellent. Especially the TCL script definitely will help you in the real exam.

4. Of course the Group Study, I read about 3000+ GS mails in this month. I really helped me a lot!

If there are someone looking for preparation strategy, here is my suggestion. Do the practice labs one or two a week. The other time of the week is for researching the related topics or commands. Read the GS mails frequently, there are many topics or issues that you will find useful.

Please forgive my poor English!

I would like to say that when going through the many options there is out there for a bootcamps I was not sure where to go. I decided to go to IPexpert's ILT Bootcamp because who is better to teach how to pass your CCIE then someone who has done it 4 times already. My instincts were correct. Scott broke every concept about the CCIE down so that it can be easily managed and passed. He presented every possible technology in a way that made me remember them. His structured instruction will complement anyone's hard work and devotion to passing the CCIE. I highly recommend IPexpert's ILT bootcamp.

Huge thanks to Wayne and Scott of IPexpert for all of their support. Labs 36-40 are killer. If you are an audio learner (like I am), you should check out the audio CDs that Scott has created. They are EXCELLENT. I put them on my mini IPOD and listened to them several times. This will help you lay a strong foundation and keep the basics fresh in your mind. As so many have said before, there are no shortcuts. Don't even waste your time looking. You should understand how every routing protocol works inside and out and
then start mixing them up with redistribution. Then add the fun stuff, QoS, DLSW, M-cast, etc....

I used the Security Workbook and Proctor Guide to prep for the CCIE

for the real lab experience. Thanks to the Proctor Guide's attention to
detailed configuration solutions I'm now a dual CCIE.

Well .. it took me about 4 months for preparation since I
received the book, working all day, no weekends (I think now I deserve vacations =) all the exercises are excellent, but specially 36 to 40, guys.. you make me sweat !! actually, they are harder than the real lab. I passed on my first try, and ended 2 hrs before, which give me the time to finish and review some points I had left. All the tips and technical advices helped me to achieve my certification.

Thanks Again !!

It has been a long road to finally be able to say..."I am now a CCIE". During my previous attempts, I feel I tried too hard to actually make everything in the lab "work". By this I mean try to make it work like I would in the real world. I knew I pretty much had the technologies down, but just could not pass!! I had heard so much about bootcamps I decided to look into them. I decided on taking the IPexpert R & S VClass!!
The primary reasons for this were money and time!! I was short on both!! To my surprise, the VClass technology was awesome!!! And of course the instructor, Scott Morris, is tremendous!! I truely believe that his methods of teaching not to only understand the technology, but to also "seperate" the Lab from "real World" is what finally got me past the R & S lab!! For the last 6 weeks all I used to study with was the VClass workbook and just about all the IPExpert E-scenarios!! The scenarios really helped me focus on just the technology I wanted to study at that time. Well and of course asking Scott a ton of questions!! Thanks to all at IPExpert!! Wayne, Jason, Scott and all the rest!! IPExpert provides exceptional products and great service to go along with it. I would definitely recommend IPexpert's products to anyone preparing for the CCIE.

Big thanks to IPexpert for producing such an excellent product. It took me some time with your help to get my Routing and Switching certification, but is is worth it. IPexpert labs are a great learning resource and especially labs 36-40 which will make you sweat. When you think everything is easy and smooth going you slam on lab 36. In comparison, some of these labs look much harder than the real thing, but now I can see why. I can certainly recommend your R&S workbook. Thanks guys and keep up the excellent work. It's up to me now to test and prove my knowledge in the field.

Thanks,

CCIE (R&S) #13074

Well its been a long road. I started this effort in Nov 1999. It took so long in fact that my first written test expired and I had to take it again before I could do the lab this final time.

I took it at RTP this past Friday. I have to say I think the thing that most added to my success was the feeling of peace I had throughout the test. Prayer does work.

As to how I got here. First I have to say this is the Routing and Switching test. It follows that you have to know routing and switching - cold. No if's, and's, but's or "I'll look that up on the CD". If you can't think of three ways to accomplish any one task, your not ready. If ISIS or BGP gives you hives, you're not ready. If you think RIP or EIGRP are simple and there aren't any "funny" things to those protocols, you're not ready. If your aren't intimately aware of the
capabilities of the 3550 (you guessed it) you're not ready. I say this first because I see far too many posts on this mailing list (for the past four years) of quite simple questions.

Second, I have to give a lot of credit to IP Expert v5.0. I bit the bullet and paid the fee and I am gratefull I did. These are some of the best scenarios I've EVER had - most of them make the ASET labs seem trivial by example. I also say, if the time estimate on the scenario says 8 hours - you better be able to do it in no more than 8 hours. When I did my lab I
was done with the first pass (get all the low-hanging fruit) by lunch. That left me with half of my day to go back, do the things that didn't come to me cold (there were about 3 1/2), scan the questions again for anything I may have missed (or misread) [and I found three - one I found only on the THIRD pass], and perform the ping-all everywhere test. If it takes you 16->40 hour to do a scenario listed at 8 hours.......

Finally I can't say enough about time on equipment. I've had the luxury, if you can call it that, to assemble a significant home lab over four years. This is by far the hard way, and I added my 3550 only 2 months ago. I think one of them is sufficient for a home lab - just be VERY aware of the syntax
differences between the 3550 and whatever other switch you have ( you still have to have two switches). Just to give you an idea: I have 2 2501's, 2502, 2521, 2515, 2620 (wic-1t, wic-1-bu), 1720 (wic-1t), 1721 (wic-1t, wic-1-bu) as my eight pod routers. I have a 4000 (2e, 1r, 2t) and a 4500 (1e, 2x4t) as backbone and frame switch routers. I also have a 2511 as a
terminal server - which I needed when my pod went on the Internet. Finally I have a Teltone ILS ISDN simulator (sorry, ISDN is a CORE subject), a 2924-XL and a 3550 switch.

Anyways that's my formula for success: Know the core things (Routing and Switching) Cold - I still have my 450 flash cards of every IOS command (at least the ones that matter) if anyone is interested. Get a really good set of scenarios and work them on real equipment until you can do them in your sleep.

Then, maybe, you ready. Dennis Dumont, CCIE #12981 (R&S)

I just wanted to thank you for your product. It was by far the best study tool I had over the past months in preparing for the lab...CCIE number below;-) Just passed yesterday, what a good feeling;-) I will certainly recommend to my colleagues in ATT Labs...Onto the security cert;-)

I couldn't have passed the lab without the experience that I gained from using the R&S Workbook over the last 4 months. I also attended the R&S Boot Camp about three weeks ago, and it really helped clear some things up for me and made me more aware of things to look out for. Scott Morris is a great instructor, and there was plenty of one-on-one instruction for those who needed it. The workbook is filled with challenging, up to date scenarios that compare closely to the actual lab. Thanks everyone.

I made my third attempt yesterday in San Jose, and late last night got the info that I finally passed and got my CCIE#. What a great feeling...Thanks for always answering any Technical questions I had. The IPexpert Book was a major factor in being able to pass the Lab. It is quite an experience
to say the least, but when you are forced to push yourself to master so many technologies, it is well worth it, far beyond just having the #...Thanks again for all your help and to IPexpert for putting out a world class scenario book to Learn with.

Having passed my CCIE written in Feburary 2003 I had my employer company (Anite Systems GmbH) order the IPexpert workbook 4.0 in May. The value of the workbook in my preparations was incredible. From June till December I
was spending an average of 30-50 hours a week practicing the IPexpert lab scenarios from the book on the rack I've pulled together from the spare equipment at work. The IPexpert book does a really good job in guiding you through the intricacies and the gotchas of the real lab and exposes you to hidden issues not otherwise documented or available. What can I say -the hard work payed off. Although I came a bit short of passing on my first attempt in October, I have finally nailed it on December the 11th, 2003. For the most part, grattitude goes to IPexpert and the great certificationtalk.com forum community ! Regards,

I passed the R&S Lab last week in San Jose, and would like to thank the folks at IPexpert for their assistance along the way! What really impressed me with their workbook was that it started out with the basics for each of the major protocols, before jumping into the full one day labs (None of the other commercially available workbooks do that!), and then at the end of the workbook they blow you out of the water with some extremely difficult labs! Great product, excellent forum! Thanks Wayne!

I purchased the IPexpert WB v5.0. I used it as a sole source of lab scenarios during the last 5 weeks of my study towards gaining my CCIE. This product allowed me to achieve my goal of passing this difficult lab on my first attempt (Nov 7th, SJ CA). I will recommend IPexpert to all up and coming engineers in this field. There is no substitute for having good study materials otherwise, you do nothing but spin your wheels.

I have the honor to inform you that I passed the CCIE lab that I sat for on the 24th of October in Brussels, and I am now CCIE #12434. Many factors have lead to my success on the first attempt, and the IPexpert R&S workbook played a very big role in my success. I took a bootcamp in September after having done most of the challenge labs in your workbook, and the instructor told me, "I have never had in my bootcamps before anybody as prepared as you are". Of course this comes as a result of lots of hours sitting at home doing your labs.
Talking about the new labs in Ver5.0 of the workbook, they are far more complex than the real lab exam, and i think if anybody really studies R&S workbook ver5.0, he will have a very very very good chance of passing from the first time.
I was quite unsatified with the e-Scenarios though, because they looked quite simple (They're more for beginners), and had a different topology from the workbook, but again, it didn't hurt doing most of them. Kind Regards,

Youssef Simon Oglou

Dear Sirs, First of all,I would like to say thank you for all of thie CCIE-Lab mailing list. I especially thank for who post the valuable questions and answers. I will take rest and will challenge new track again. As I am Japanese,I had taken my second attempt at Tokyo at Oct,7. The most prominent barrier is that all materials(books, courses) and even lab exams are conducted in English. For such like me non-native reader of English is so stressful to read *many* *many* CCO,Cisco Press, and DOC CD. ;-) I take my path as follows. 1.Read many books and CCO documents and I was sure to config myself examples on these documents. And after reading, I tried to hands-on again and confirm it works. There is no partial points at lab exam,so it is so important that we can config and works perfectly! 2.I build my own home lab and buy IPexpert Workbook. I go through these labs twice. But even I have received WorkBook 5.0 updates, I did not do these labs. They were too difficult for me. I was really depressed with these difficulty!! ;) Anyway I recommend to purchase IPexpert. IPexpert's CCIE level e-labs also helped me. 3. I read this mailing list and pick-up links for online documentations. I read twice these documents and hands-on. Lab Experience: I have troubled with ATM configuration and I had lost 1.5 hours to manage it. ;( Yes,it was resolved and that was my simple configuration mistake. I was really upset. I sit carm down a moment and back again. As I had a confidence that I had gone thorough IPexpert's difficult labs,I manage to get my cool back. I think the pressure of test is so big,and may tend to lose one's head. The key point to recover self-possession depends on how many time you hands-on and solid understandings of logics and skill of trouble shooting. Concentrate to understand the core topic and logics. It helps escaping from trouble swamp. Thank you all again.
And especially thank you Wayne for good IPexpert workbook and for always precise advice in this mailing list.

I Passed the lab on first attempt on the 1st of October thanks to IPexpert's Lab material. Used the 3.1 R&S Workbook during my preparation, and it really guided me to understand what was important focusing on for the real lab. Took the exam in Brussels, and had to wait 20 hours before I had the oportunity to check my results. That was definitively the 20 worst hours of my life. But it was worth it. The feeling when I realized I had passed was marvelous. Many thanks :)

I have been working in Networking for 3 years, but in that time I have not been afraid to get my hands dirty... I didn't know what a router was 3 years ago. Having said that, I really treated my job as my university... making sure I got landed with the problems I knew nothing about so I would go home that night and study everything there was to know about that technology. After about 18 months of doing this, I became very comfortable with the technology that I got promoted to a specialist position with in the department of Unisys I work in (called the NCC). It was always my intention to go for this exam... I waited until the time was right and then put in a good 8 months for 20 hour a week study. This time was spent reading the "normal" books (I.e. Doyle ver 1 and 2 etc). Unisys was also very good to me... they gave me 3 weeks off leading up to each of my exam attempts... this time was spent going through IPEXPERT'S CCIE workbook. I would spend 12 hours a day for 21 days in the lead up to my attempts doing each Practice LAB, and then reading over the topics that were covered in the day's LAB. This stringent schedule almost killed me, but I must admit, it taught me a lot about myself. This is a great time in my life as I have had my eye on the prize for 3 years, and finally I achieved it...So there is my story, I hope it somehow motivates you, like reading others motivated me.

I passed the lab exam at San Jose yesterday. Second attempt.
It was a smooth sailing. Got everything done by 1:00PM and
spent the rest of 4 hours checking, checking, and checking.
I knew I made it! I did with all the costs on myself. Kind of tough! I really want to thank Groupstudy and so many nice and
knowledgeable people on this list. I used IPexpert and that is
the only practice book I used. It is really, really good.
I actually did many of the scenarios there TWICE. So my suggestion is to go get IPexpert and make full use of it. Not just to finish the labs, but to play with them. Go deep and go beyond and absorb everything they can bring. Take notes of what you have learned and come back to read and refresh memory often. It was a tough road. Two years of study and thousands of $$$ spent. But it worthes them. And despite that I have a Ph.D and working as a software architect, I still think CCIE a tremendous plus. CCIE helps me understand networking as a whole, but not just the area related to my job. I did all my practice at CConlineLabs. Thanks Tony! Your service is excellent. I could not have got here without IPexpert and CConlinelabs and Groupstudy.

My name is Semion Lisyansky, I've passed my lab at Brussels yesterday, R&S CCIE #12272. 3rd attempt. I used your workbook between my second and third attempts. I can't blame myself in studying too much, just once a week in last two monthes I rented a commercial lab and took one lab from your book and felt pretty confident with it. One week before last attempt I took a vacation and worked on single item issues from the workbook. Then, a couple of days before test I took lab #36 - and, what can I say... I think someone could get a heart attack with it. I had a 10hrs rent, remove old config at begining and save at end - say, 9:15 - 9:30 pure rack time, and I did just about a half of it - 8 pages from 13, and as I discovered later on one third wrong. They're lucky I couldn't drop a lab seat two days before the date. I worked on this scenario (on dry) in a cab to airport, in a plane, in a hotel on night before the lab. Anyway, when I took the actual lab I thought I'm on early stage of my preparation, so easy it looked like. Or maybe Cisco reduced the level of their requirements? Thank You very much for this workbook. Nice job.

Just a quick note of thanks to IPexpert and to the tight knit community here for all the help in getting me across the line (on my first lab attempt!). While I have mostly been a lurker for the past few months (on CertificationTalk.com), reading every single post (and occasionally asking or answering a question or two)it has proven most rewarding. I was fortunate enough to receive an exam that had lots of my strength topics on it and relatively few of my weak areas. Thanks to IPexpert's workbook (and many hours of going cross-eyed staring at a screen), I went into the exam without too many weak areas (I'm not being egotistical here, just commenting that with serious prep, it is possible to tame the beast). Thanks!

I finally passed the lab thanks to the grace of god and lots of hard work and very importantly some great learinig materials.

I have used most of the IPexpert products including, eScenarios, Lab Workbook, and vClass. I can tell you first hand that there is a lot of thought that goes into their products to give us what we need to get an edge in passing the lab exam. Over the past 2 years Wayne and the IPexpert gang have always asked their users how to improve the products and they really do listen. Here is a breakdown on how I used the producst and recommendations for their use.

1) eScenarios - use these to drill on the technologies one at a time - especially the core subjects - know them like the back of your hand. Plain and simple - if you don't know the core topics then you won't pass. I used these at the beginning of my preperation last summer - while doing the heavy reading of the well known books (Doyle, Caslow, Halabi, etc) Go throught each eScenario twice and make sure you understand why you are entering a command.

2) Workbook - use the first "mini labs" to build upon your knowledge of the individual technologies. After going through the "mini labs" move on to the full 8 hour mock labs. Do all of them at least 2 times. The first time - take your time and don't focus so much on time, but make sure that you understand the technologies used and use the doc cd to find answers. The second time through - work on a combination of speed and knowledge.

3) Training - The classes were very good. Trianing at this level has to assume that you have a certain level of competenancy with the topics BEFORE you take the class - this is where the eScenarios and first "mini labs" from the workbook come into play. It was a very good class with some great information being put out. The pace is fairly fast - agian working on the assumption that you have a professional level of understanding of the core topics. A class like this is going to give you some very good details about the technologies on the exam blueprint and if you don't have a good grasp of the basics you will miss - in my opion - the meat of the class (I'm speaking from experience!!). You will have plenty of hands on time working through some very "eye opening" and challenging labs.

I would suggest following the pattern that I laid out above so you can get the most out of the materials. If I would have done it this way - in hindsight I would have passed the lab much sooner.

The morale to my story is this - passing the lab is hard work and there are no shortcuts. If it was easy there would be 100,000+ CCIE's.

You can definitley buy the IPexpert products with the confidence that if you use them in a structured manner you will become a CCIE - I'm living proof!!

Thanks again Wayne & the IPexpert gang!!!!

I passed CCIE on 15 August 2003. The second attempt. I would have done it on the first try except for some mistakes I overlooked by overconfidence which was in 7 July 2003. Since I was very happy with my preparations I scheduled the 2nd attempt immediately and passed. I take pride in thanking IPEXPERT for your Lab R&S Workbook. I used it extensively during the last 1 ½ years for my preparation.

I actually passed the R&S lab back on July 29th, it has just taken me a while to get around to this email. I just wanted to congratulate you guys on an excellent product. The workbook really helped to put me over the hump.

I had made 3 attempts prior to purchasing the workbook. After working through most of the labs in the workbook, I felt confident and ready to
pass. I was devastated when I got my score report from my fourth attempt. I knew I was ready and I should have passed, I just didn't check my configs well enough. I schedule attempt 5 as soon as possible. I went through the last few full labs that I hadn't done from the workbook just to keep fresh. I finished all my configs just after lunch and spent the remaining 3 hours checking and recheckin my configs. I passed!!! CCIE #12035!! Again, thanks for a great product.

Just wanted to thank the folks at IPexpert. Passed my lab yesterday. The workbook provided the right mix of task specific scenarios as well as complete labs to get me to the level I needed to be at to pass. The discussion on the CertificationTalk site helped reinforce the lab work and clarify a lot of the issues all CCIE candidates run into. Thanks again.

I would like to thank IPexpert for the execllent workbook and website (www.certificationtalk.com) that played a major part in my successful second attempt at the CCIE R&S Lab. As I completed each Lab I would think to myself "okay, this next Lab I should be able to complete without any areas I would not know. Well, each proceeding lab always had something I didn't know. Your workbook is absolutetly A++++++++++. Taking a short break and then considering CCIE Security and I will not hesitate to use IPexpert as my main source for study materials. Thanks again.

The first 9 months of the CCIE journey for me was about hacking away at my home lab (w/o VIC's, ATM and 3550) early in the morning, late into the night and just about all weekend. I used 'FatKid' labs, 'www.6colabs.com' and read the many books and whitepapers. All of this
certainly got me where I wanted to be and within 9 months allowed me to have a certain level of comfort in order to take a crack at the lab. My first attempt was very disappointing and I was very close. There was
really only 2 bullets that I had no clue what they were asking for; not that they were being tricky it was just the fact I did not focus on those two 'non-core' related topics. After my first attempt I knew that I needed fresh material in order to stay honed and I also needed to get acquainted with things I have never seen before, or at least look at some of the features and technologies at another angles. There wasn't much question in my mind as to what product I would purchase as I stayed pretty close to the news groups and mailing lists. When it came down to it IPexperts was the one with what I perceived to be the best study material on the market. I purchased their 'Gold' membership and received the materials a couple of weeks after my first attempt at the lab. My hope was that this material would 'put me over the hump' so to speak and allow me to obtain that number. I continued to use the IPexperts material and continue on with my normal study habits for a few more weeks before going after attempt #2. My second attempt was a real learning experience, but I did not get my # this time either. I honestly can't remember when I purchased them, (before my 2nd attempt or after) but I along the way grabbed the e-Scenarios and started working those over. I really tried to focus on each technology and dissect each protocol looking for things that I had not learned yet, or was at least a little fuzzy with. I took my 3rd and last attempt about a month after my second and came out on top this time with #11510. I changed my test taking strategy and also went in with a lot more confidence knowing I had the knowledge, but I just needed to take more time with the questions and look at my lab in a more holistic manner, rather than a bunch of independent tasks. In conclusion I would say IPexpert gave me the advantage over most, but certainly not all other candidates that just rely on their own study methods. This product helped to build my confidence and learn to do things in different ways. I am of the school of thought that a CCIE candidate can not solely rely on just one product out there. The idea is to narrow the focus down to the best free labs, best practice lab vendors like IPexpert and know that CDROM. The IPexpert group is 1st rate in my opinion and a bunch of true professionals. I can't say enough good things about the AWESOME customer service I always received from them and what I heard other customers say about them as well. If you're interested in a product that will help you get ahead IPexperts will certainly get you there!
BTW; I am just a customer of theirs.. I have no affiliation with them other than being a Gold member of theirs, which comes out of my pocket too. Thank You,

I passed my CCIE R&S exam at the end of April (2nd attempt). I don't think I could have passed without the IPexpert 4.0 workbook. I basically spent the better of part of the 6 weeks between my first and second attempts working through the lab book to increase my speed and proficiency. On my first attempt I ran out of time. On the second attempt I had completed all the items with approximately 1.5 hours left to test and confirm my work. The IPexpert scenarios were exactly what I needed to help me reach my goal.

I passed the CCIE R&S lab today on my first try. I want to thank IPexpert for the great product that you have. I purchased an IPexpert membership including the E-scenarios and workbook. I've spent the last 3-1/2 months preparing for anything and everything that I could potentially be tested on. My personal feeling is this.... If you don't know the answer to at least 90-95% of the questions without using the DOC CD, you will not have enough time to finish your tasks and double check your work. The IPexpert products teach you how to easily identify common issues or "gotcha's" that will arise as you complete each task. I had over two hours to double check my work and verify my configurations. Time management is critical. I have spoken to so many people who create their own labs for practice. I don't think this is a good approach because if you created the scenario, then you're likely only testing yourself on topics that you already know. The IPexpert scenarios give you problems to solve from viewpoints and experiences of many different CCIE level engineers. After I take a nice long break, I'll be purchasing the Security WB.

Dear Sirs, I passed my CCIE Lab exam yesterday at my first attempt and got my number, CCIE #11285. I would like to say that your CCIE R&S Lab Workbook was so good. It helped me a lot in my preparation and I could not pass the exam at the first time without this book. Thank you very much and give me the information about your CCIE Communication & Services Lab Workbook. It's because my next goal is CCIE C&S. Kindly regards,

CCIE (R&S) #11285

Your labs are so current and relevant. I particularly like the fact that we do not need to re-cable each time, so we can write erase and get right into the next scenario quickly. I also appreciate that you give free updates. What a nice surprise that was. Your customer support was quick and precise the two times I asked for help. I feel every candidate should buy professional scenarios from a couple companies and put IPexpert at the top of the list. Your prices are a bargain when we think about how much effort you put into creating quality scenarios, and how much time we save by working through them. You are doing us CCIE candidates a big service, and in turn, the Internet community a big service. Thank you very much! Best regards,

I just passed my CCIE R&S lab February 11th. I have to admit, that your R&S workbook played an important role in my success. You have a great collection of labs and a great support system for those labs. I did not go through the workbook and try to memorize the solution to each challenge. That will not help you in passing the lab. I used the challenges to gauge my progress from time to time. It worked for me. Thank you Wayne.

CCIE (R&S) #11071

Wayne, I wanted to let you know that I passed the CCIE R/S yesterday!! I got CCIE #11033. I do have the CCBootcamp and IPexpert workbook and scenarios, and have to say I used your material 95% of the time. Your material is more complete and up to date. It really helped me a lot. Since I'm lately more working in the security field I am thinking about going after the Security as well. I noticed the new workbook for Security is not going to have as much labs as the R/S book. What I'm wondering about is will I have enough study material with just that one workbook. Would you say the combination with the E-scenario subscription I have plus the R/S workbook will be enough? (I will do some more practicing using the CCO site of course) Another question: will you be adding more Security E-Scenarios to the ones already there? Met vriendelijke groet/With kind regards,

Pieter Jan Bakhuijzen
CCIE (R&S) #11033

I purchased both NLI labs and the IPexpert Platinum membership (the e-scenarios and the lab book). I first tried the NLI labs and then the IPexpert labs, but I personally did not find either of these a good way to do my initial practicing. It was when I started on the e-scenarios that I found the best results. I spent about 1 month, full time, doing every e-scenario until I was very comfortable with each one. I then took the lab test in San Jose and I estimate I scored just short of passing. I personally found the specialized skills scenario approach to be the most rewarding. I then spent the next month doing the IPexpert lab scenarios and took the test again. This time I passed. I strongly recommend the e-scenarios as among the best study material out there. I found the errors in the version 3 lab scenarios to be very bothersome (They've been corrected in 3.1), but I did still learn enough more to pass on the next attempt, mostly because of the multiprotocol challenges. Thanks IPexpert!

CCIE #10967

I have to admit that first I was disappointed by its looks - I was expecting something much more glossy - and consequently a bit skeptical about its contents. I realized very soon that I was wrong and that, at this level, quality content is what really matters. So I stepped into it. The book is like an ascending spiral; it keeps coming back to core technologies (fortunately each time with a different perspective) until you really are able to master the topic. The feeling was that this book was written by guys that "have been there" and are guiding you -step by step- towards being logical, free-thinking and efficient in configuring stuff. I was given (periodically) cold showers - each time I felt over-confident about myself the next lab would give me tasks I couldn't finish without a lot of reading; I also got a taste of the "paranoia" (modify ospf dead interval but don't use the ospf dead-interval command) you may encounter in the lab. While progressing towards the last labs, you will begin to be able to evaluate a routing topology and build a working plan based on vague indications (only after the lab attempt you will truly appreciate the value of this). The book's charm resides exactly in its "flaws": - if you attempt to paste blindly the configs you will not always get the expected results and you are driven into a learning adventure for understanding why they are behaving the way they are. - if its requirements are slightly "distorted" you are (indirectly) invited in exploring alternate ways for solving (more or less usual) problems What I valued the most is that the book helped me into building self-confidence, forced me to really understand the core topics and helped me populate my bag of "dirty-tricks". Of course each of you has its own best way of learning/understanding things; in my case IPexpert's workbook was the only lab resource I needed. Overall opinion: a good, solid product. If you get caught in the game, it shines.

Finally I passed on my third attempt at Brussels. Many thanks to Wayne and his team! IPexpert's Preparation Book v3.0 was a great help during this journey. I passed the Routing and Switching CCIE Lab at RTP yesterday. Your CCIE Lab Preparation Guide was a large part of my success in the lab. The exercises and lab simulations do an excellent job of preparing the CCIE candidate for the lab exam. I pre-ordered the Security Lab Preparation Guide and I am confident that it will be of the same high quality. Thank you.

I cannot say it is all you need but it is a must. One resource is never enough for such a great exam as CCIE. Before I bought the IPexpert workbook (2.1 and 3.0) I was lost even after completing my CCIE training. After completing the mini labs I was feeling so great about myself. The mini labs took me step-by-step to the level that I wanted to be. Then I jumped into the multiprotocol labs and was putting it all together. There are so many little details covered in all the labs that prepared me for most of the situations that I could face. The point of a great workbook is to educate you and get you to the level that you could solve anything twisted, and IPexpert is done that for me. I got the speed to work with any kind of protocols and scenarios. The key in passing the CCIE is practice, think and solve, practice, and practice. Final word about IPexpert is " Do not attempt the exam without it" not because they know exactly what is in the real exam but because they will give you the right tools to use and solve any kind of scenarios that will be presented to you in the lab and in real life scenarios. That what the CCIE exam is about, to get ready and prepared for anything and everything. Make sure you sleep well before the exam and wake up early to give yourself enough time to relax and wake up. Go to the site at least half an hour earlier. Try to simulate in your head what would you do right after you get the exam in your hands. What sequence will you follow for the whole lab and for each protocol? Do not just attempt the lab without a plan. When you go to sleep at night try to think about what would you do if you were faced with this and that scenario. Keep doing it and make sure you have the IPexpert workbook and a flash light next to your pillow :-) ... for those that are married I suggest you to sleep in a separate room :-) Good luck to everyone !!!

I am glad to say that I passed the CCIE LAB exam yesterday, and was awarded CCIE # 10474. Your lab workbook was an important part of my preparation. I recd. it just in time for my lab attempt, and I really got to practice the 3550 Labs and the others newer 8 hr labs. Thanks

CCIE (R&S) #10474

I managed it in Brussels on Saturday. I did much of my early preparation on V2 workbook particularly liked the 1-day lab and the fact that all your scenarios run on a single configuration without requiring a 10 or 12 port Frame switch. V3.0 workbook looks good but was a little too late in arriving to make a major contribution, though quite interesting to look at some of the problems. I found the 3550 section helpful as a focus to convert my 2924XL IOS and CAT5 skills to the new 3550.

IPexpert team, I utilized your R&S lab book in conjunction with some of other popular lab scenario's out there in my preparation for the CCIE lab. I was told that the more lab scenario's that you do, the better off your are. That advice really paid off for me, because I was able to pass the lab on my first try after 12 months of preparation and earn CCIE #10133. Thank you, IPexpert for providing a solid product that was a critical piece of my preparation in allowing me to attain my CCIE status with only 1 lab attempt. I'm now moving on to the CCIE security and plan to use your products again during my studies. Thanks again,

CCIE (R&S) #10133

I really liked the IPexpert materials, as they really make one delve into the IOS config guides and command reference volumes to learn how to configure some pretty obscure stuff. The level of complexity and subtlety is very challenging. They require a lot of routers, which could put some people off. I used to resent the fact that commercial scenarios required so many routers, but I have since come to appreciate the value of being able to configure a lot of routers quickly and accurately. The IPexpert materials also address fundamental core routing issues, but they do not spoonfeed the core routing lessons by explaining all key parts of their answer configs. At the time, I would have appreciated more explanation, but I guess someone close to the CCIE needs to be able to figure out why something was configured one way or another, and I ended up learning the lessons I needed to learn through lots of hard study and practice. Perhaps some students might value the addition of more Caslow/Pavlichenko-style explanation, amounting to, "there are three main ways to solve this problem, and here they are . . . ."The standard topology shared among the scenarios (in the version I used) allows one to cover a lot of ground fast, because it eliminates time-consuming cabling and IP addressing for each scenario. The version I bought was an excellent value, and the newer version, with many more complex scenarios included, would seem to be an unbeatable value.

I took the CCIE Mock Lab about 4 weeks before taking my actual lab. After going through the Mock Lab by IPexpert, I was impressed by a couple of things. The first, was how the lab was formatted and it's difficulty level. It was very do-able but had very challenging and "tricky" questions. They're only tricky if you don't fully understand the technology. The second and most important thing that helped me was spending nearly 2 hours on the phone with one of IPexpert's Proctors (a CCIE and CCSI) going over every question on the lab. He made sure I completely understood why I missed a section, that part of it was invaluable. Overall the Mock Lab gave me specific information regarding my strengths and weaknesses and provided answers to obscure things that I didn't completely understand. I used that as my guideline over the last 4 weeks before my lab. I would say the Mock Lab and its results were instrumental in my obtaining my 4 numbers. :) Thanks for all of the effort that IPexpert put into their program.

I purchased IPexpert's Routing and Switching Workbook and thought it was a great resource. I work for a Service Provider, so after passing the Communications and Services Optical Beta exam I decided to take a crack at the lab. The first thing I looked for were study resources, which didn't exist. I emailed Wayne Lawson to see if IPexpert was planning to do a workbook for C&S. They were. Wayne asked me to be involved and I jumped at the chance! I found that the experience I gained working on the workbook helped me fill in the blanks on some of the technologies that I didn't work with on a daily basis. The C&S development team at IPexpert was great! I could have never passed without their workbook. Thanks IPexpert!

I bought the CCIE R/S Prep Workbook back in Nov 2001 and used the workbook as preparation for CCIE Written and CCIE Lab since. I started preparing my lab from Jan 2002 and attempted the lab on April 17. I passed the lab on my first attempt. The workbook greatly contributed to my success in passing the lab. The workbook helps me to built the foundation of each technology and later introduce the complex network found in the lab exam. The workbook guided me to focus on the area that will appear in the exam. Beside the workbook, I also get timely support from IPexpert as I prepare for the lab. I intent to pursue CCIE C/S and will buy C/S workbook for my lab preparation. Hopefully you have discount for loyal customer. :) Regards,

I think IPexpert did contribute to my success as it adopted a logical approach to delving into individual subjects first before being unleashed on a full-blown lab. This at least prepares you for the problems you will get when you implement multiple individual technologies together. I'm pleased to see also that you're embracing the other CCIE accreditations. I'm now on the Security track, venturing on the CSS1 first. Thanks

The IPexpert workbook was a valuable resource for my lab preparation. (on my very short list of study materials. It provided me with a roadmap to where I needed to be. The numerous technologies are broken down in "digestible" chapters allowing a candidate to focus on weaker areas. I have met Dave (IPexpert President and course developer / instructor) and he brings a wealth of knowledge and experience into the materials. Thanks!

As luck would have it I managed to pass the R/S Lab Exam about a month after purchasing your product. Your product was not the only resource that I used but I think it meshed nicely with other material and helped to push me over the top. The other lab product that I used was from Network Learning and I think that both products (yours and theirs) combined to create a formidable teaching aid. Each product has strengths and weaknesses but it seemed that a weakness in one was a strength in the other. Here are my comments:

I found the overall presentation of the product to be very professional.

The section on the 3920 was critical to my success (this is the only place where I came across this info).

I appreciated the fact that it was more than just a serious of labs - the instructional material was good.

I have recommended your product to CCIE lab candidates. I hope that you are able to keep the product current as I do believe it was money well spent. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. Thanks Much!

I would like to HIGHLY recommend the IPexpert 3.0 workbook. After even just a brief skim of the book, I have found this book to be FAR superior to any other Routing & Switching Lab preparation book. There are 18 Chapters in which you are taken through individual technologies so that you get a chance to focus on one thing at a time before you are expected to tie it all together. Then there are roughly 17 difficult, multi-protocol labs that challenge any skill level. These labs are meant to combine everything you went through in the previous chapters to test your comprehension, and understanding. Just my 2 cents. Regards,

I want to commend IPexpert for the Voice CCIE ILT course that I attended last week in Dallas, Texas. The degree of professionalism and personalization was exceptional. The bootcamp itself was extremely challenging, and very detailed. Based on other bootcamps I had been to, I was expecting a mediocre presentation of equipment and labs. Nothing could have been further from reality at the IPexpert bootcamp in Texas. I was extremely impressed with the equipment being the most recent gear available. Using all 2800 and 3800 routers, CallManager, Unity and CRS software for each student made the bootcamp highly effective. Vik was an outstanding instructor that very clearly understood the Cisco voice applications above and beyond what is required for the lab. This was very helpful in getting a solid understanding of the ?why & how? instead of ?that?s just how it works. I would highly recommend this bootcamp to anyone else seriously pursuing the Voice CCIE Lab.

Hello, Neil and all the folks at IPExpert. I took the CCIE Security Bootcamp in Columbus, OH July 30 - August 3, and it was EXCELLENT. Between the lab workbook/proctor guide combo and that intense week with Mark Snow - I got all I needed to prepare myself for a successful attempt in RTP on 08/17/2007. My seemingly unending quest for a 2nd CCIE is now complete, and I have the fine folks at IPExpert to thank for it, in large measure.

I'd have to say that the workbook, rental labs and classroom offerings were all worth it. I doubt there's any way I could have passed without ALL of them.

Hi Mark... Eric, Montain, and I hung around on Friday looking for you to say goodbye and to congratulate you on a fantastic class. I wanted you to know that I have taken many classes, but never with an instructor as knowledgeable and who could articulate complex concepts so well. Very good job and I will be recommending your class to others.

"Just thought I would drop you a line and let you know I passed my CCIE Voice lab on April 21. Thanks for all your help! I have told a number of people about your boot camp as I thought you guys did a great job. Also, I really appreciate your accessibility even after the class. You’ve been very helpful. I hope we can continue to wrap about things in the future."

"Again, thanks a lot for all your help!"
